Password Key is a security program for the Macintosh. It was designed to provide a limited amount of security to your Macintosh system with emphasis on "security without modification" in its processes. It is completely safe to use and will help you to know if someone is trying to use your Mac in your absence.
When used properly, Password Key should provide you with at least the knowledge of "illegal attempts" to enter your system, and at best, with a system that is left alone with its integrity kept complete.
Password Key records the date and time that the session was started, covers the screen, locks you out of any other programs that may be running (including the finder) and then waits for the user to enter the password.
If the correct password is entered, it records the fact that this was a "successful entry," then quits, allowing access to your system. However, if an incorrect entry is made, the entry, along with the date and time are recorded for you to view later. After five (5) (or any number you set) incorrect entries, the user is warned that the system is shutting down, a siren sound is played, the illegal entry is recorded, and the computer is shut down (or not, depending on your settings).
If the user attempts to break out of the program using any command key sequence, the system records the attempt and then shuts down immediately, keeping them from accessing the system.

Sound Keys is a keyframe generator plug-in for Adobe After Effects 5.0 and higher. It allows visually selecting a range in the audio spectrum and convert the audio energy in the selected frequencies to a stream of keyframes.
It is very handy for making extremely audio-driven animations.
Sound Keys fundamentally differs from the keyframe generators that comes with AE. Better Edit Keys is a cool system enhancement that allows you to use the shift, option and control keys with the arrows, delete, forward delete and clear keys in any standard text editing field, including basic text editors such as SimpleText. This makes it much easier to work with text without reaching the mouse.
With Better Edit Keys you can use handy text editing keys everywhere.
The following key combinations are allowed:
- shift + any arrow: extend the current selection.
- option + left/right arrow: move to the previous or next word.
- control + left/right arrow or option + up/down arrow: move to the beginning or end of the current line.
- shift + option + any arrow: move like option + arrow while extending the selection.
- option + delete: delete up to the beginning of the current word (or clear selection).
- forward delete or shift + delete: delete the next character (or clear selection).
- option + forward delete or shift + option + delete: delete up to the end of the current word (or clear selection).
- clear: clear the current selection, if any.
- option + clear: delete the current word (or clear selection).
The above tasks should usually be performed by applications, but many of them dont care. Better Edit Keys implements this default behavior in all situations where the application is not already taking care of it, but it does nothing if the application handles the keystrokes by itself. This means that the above keystrokes will not work if the application already handles them.
For example recent versions of SimpleText handle the forward delete key by themselves, which also disables the option + forward delete keystroke provided by Better Edit Keys.
