This way you can easily collect your personal set of Finder views and reapply them with a simple control-click. Although Mac OS 8.5 now has standard view options that simplify customizing views, this still does not help if you have more than one favorite view setting per category.
For example: With the FinderViewContextMenu you can save a "List & Size" and a "List & Date & Size" view and reapply them with a simple control-click.
