This iMovie plug-in allows you to reduce the range of possible colors for the clip, reducing the total number of possible colors in the clip from millions to a mere eight (2 for each channel). This plug-in is similar to our flatten channel plug-in, except that it keeps red, green and blue synchronized in channel depth.
Flatten color is a highly specialized color effect plug, to be used whenever you want to limit the range of colors in your clips. It will make the clip look grainier, and somewhat more artificial. It also greatly increases the contrast between colors.
Please note that even if you limit the colors to eight, the resulting clip will still be rendered in millions of colors (flatten color will not be able to reduce the size of the clip).

Negate Color lets you selectively invert any color channel (red, green, or blue). If you invert all channels, the result would look like a color negative film. If you invert only some channels, the result simply looks strange.
Unlike most other inversion plugs, Negate Color will allow you to choose any state between full inversion and full normal.

The Shades Color Picker adds an additional pane to the standard Apple Color Picker. It is designed to help you choose colors by showing you grids of related colors.
Shades uses Hue - Saturation - Brightness (HSB) color coordinates which many people find more intuitive than Red - Green - Blue (RGB) color coordinates. To use Shades, you choose a center color, a step size and a color coordinate (one of H, S or B) to hold constant. Shades then draws a grid of related colors.
Shades holds one of hue, saturation or brightness constant and varies the other two. Choosing H-B from the segmented control gives a grid where the saturation is held constant, the hue varies horizontally and the brightness varies vertically. Similarly, B-S holds the hue constant while varying brightness and saturation across the grid and H-S holds the brightness constant while varying hue and saturation.

Asiva Correct+Apply Color 2.2 is a plug-in designed for Adobe Photoshop.
It has 2 distinct filters from which you can choose:
- Correct Color is similar to Photoshops Replace Color, but with some very fundamental differences. Asivas Correct Color algorithm take into consideration a pixels original Hue, Saturation and Luminance values before replacing-in the new color. You can then further adjust the saturation and intensity of the target color. Very natural looking results are easily attainable via proper curve settings and plug-in settings. This filter has been utilized by national catalog companies to show different color options of their products, without having to reshoot each time.
- Apply Color is a very easy way to paint any user-defined color into any part of the image based on pixels Hue, Saturation and Luminance values. It operates almost like a magic paintbrush. This filter is particularly useful when a simple paint operation cannot produce natural-looking results. Common applications of Apply Color include: applying digital make-up for portraits, colorizing black and white images, and false color imaging.
Both filters operate the same way insofar as defining the source color(s) you wish to Correct or Apply Color to: Use Asivas built-in Hue, Saturation and Intensity Maps to draw curves defining the source color(s). Sampling the colors in the area of the image you wish to affect with the built in Color Sampler Tool is a quick way of selecting these values. Adjusting the curves in the maps allows you to refine certain Hue or Saturation or Intensity values selected. he slope of the curves will define how the filter is transitioned. A near vertical line on your Map will create defined boundaries between where the filter is applied and is not, and a gently sloped curve on the Map will make the boundaries smooth. Asivas curves are so precise that tedious masking prior to application of the filters is often not necessary.
Enhancements:
- Asiva Correct+Apply Color 2.2 has replaced the HSV color space with the HSI color space. Although closely related to HSV, HSI has twice the bandwidth on the luminanceor brightness channel as that of HSV. This change includes both the color space and individual channels you may operate on, and also the 3 Asiva Maps where you draw curves to specify target colors to correct or apply color to.
- Asiva Correct+Apply 2.1 features much improved curve drawing amongst other minor fixes.
- Asiva Correct+Apply 2.0 has had a major overhaul since version 1.x. Certain controls have been moved to more logical locations, such as the Load and Save Preset buttons. New additions include edge-only capabilities, expansion or contraction of color-selected pixels and falloff control, opacity control, snapshot settings, quick curve settings, and the ability to overlay a specified color to see where color correction or color application will occur.
