Hardware Monitor Widget 2.7
Hardware Monitor Widget wont make you disappointed because it is the Dashboard version of its bigger brother Hardware Monitor. more>>
Hardware Monitor Widget 2.7 won't make you disappointed because it is the Dashboard version of its "bigger brother" Hardware Monitor.
You need a working registered copy of Hardware Monitor in order to fully use this widget. The applications are designed to give you access to all sensor readings Mac OS X uses to monitor and cool your computer.
The widget allows you to select two of your computer's sensors which should be displayed via Dashboard. The sensor readouts are displayed in a compact panel.
Unlike other widgets, Hardware Monitor is capable of processing the hardware calibration data Apple stores individually into each G5-based computer. So it displays the exact readings Mac OS X internally uses for cooling control, not just an "educated guess".
The program can visualize the history graphs of the readings, display measured values in a large variety of fashions, or announce readings by speech output. It can also store and export readings. Depending on what sensors are built into your Macintosh system, the following data can be accessed:
- Temperature readings at different locations
- Battery data of portable computers
- Voltage sensors
- Current (amperage) sensors
- Fan speed sensors
- Sensors for pulse-width controlled fans
- Power and load sensors
- Ambient light sensors
- User-defined artificial sensors to monitor the operating system
Major Features:
- Temperature display selectable in degrees Celsius, Fahrenheit, or Kelvin
- Display of many other sensors, if supported by Mac OS X on the specific computer model
- Display of the sensor equipment of the system, and their permissible limits (if released by Apple)
- Display of current readings in a horizontal or vertical window that can be customized
- Display of current readings in a "floating" screen display or on the background of the Desktop
- Output of no, one, or two selectable current readings in a Dock tile
- Output of no, one, or up to eight selectable current readings in the menu-bar
- Definition of an unlimited number of history graphs that visualize readings in a time interval between 12 minutes and 1 week
- Adjustable refresh interval between 1 second and 1 hour
- Customizable labels and display options for all sensors
