Japanese-English Dictionary is a tool created for Mac OS X that let you use comprehensive and up-to-date Japanese-English dictionary files containing thousand of Japanese words with English translation.

Apimac Japanese-English Dictionary helps you to write letters, send emails and make phone calls in good Japanese.

You can copy words from the application and paste them into another document. The English translations include information about whether the word is a noun, an adjective, a verb.

You can search for grammatical abbreviations, like "adj-na" for "adjectival nouns or quasi-adjectives" and the dictionary will display dozens of Japanese adjectival nouns or quasi-adjectives entries with their English translations.

Which Japanese-English dictionaries can be used?
Apimac Japanese-English Dictionary can use various Japanese-English dictionary files that user can download from internet, the format of those files have to be either Unicode UTF-8 Tab-delimited format or Japanese EUD EDICT format.

Note: The application dont support XML format files, this mean that user cannot use JMdict (Japanese-Multilingual Dictionary) files.

Which is the one you reccomend?
We reccomend to use "EDICT Dictionary File" of the JMdict/EDICT Project; founded, coordinated and run by Jim Breen. You can find this file in the "Dictionary Files" folder, inside the application pakage folder.

Apimac English-German Dictionary is a application for Mac that combines all the necessary for students learning German: a comprehensive and up-to-date dictionary with grammatical notes; an ample phrase book containing thousand of English phrases with German translation helping you to write letters, send emails , and make phone calls in good Italian.
Version restrictions:
- A reminder window appears and forces you to wait for some seconds every time you open the application
- some translations are not available
- the features for printing and reading text aloud are unavailable.
Enhancements:
- This release fixes a bug that prevent users to register the application to unlock the features reserved to registered users and includes some minor interface tweaks.
- Note from the product team: this application is a PowerPC-based application, we are working on making it Universal (which means made to run natively on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Mac computers), in the mean time, you can use it with some decreasing of performance with Intel-based Mac thanks to Rosetta technology (which is built into Mac OS X and dynamically translates this applications to work with Intel-based Mac).
