Color Pal is an Adobe After Effects plug-in which provides a persistent, customizable floating color palette within After Effects.
Color Pal allows you to easily store and access a large set of standard colors for use in your projects.
Color Pal can be used with any standard eyedropper in After Effects (e.g. composition background color, all color effect controls, solid color). Just choose the eyedropper, then click on the color of your choice in Color Pal.

Remember those old color tv based on b&w screens with colored transparencies glued on top?
Color by picture takes a similar approach: it takes the contrast information (b&w) from the clip, but adds the color from a picture plastered on top. For some uses (usually logos, watermarks, demonstrations, and very simply masking) this method is as effective as it was half a century ago. Other than that it creates a nice, if sometimes disorienting effect as two sometimes radically different picture information sources are combined.
This plug-in sports our usual live preview, the ability to use any picture source (including PDF) your mac understands, arbitrarily size, scale, and position the picture, and the option to brighten the result (as this effect tends to slightly darken the overall clip).

Twist color is a color effects iMovie plug-in that lets your shift the colors in a clip through 360 degress (this is slightly difficult to explain, because the results are unnatural, strange-looking pictures). The plug can either shift all colors a certain amount, or animate a color shift (up to 10 full revolutions).

What should I use it for?Shifting the color for low values can correct some problems experienced when filming under colored lighting conditions. Generally, though, twist color is more a cool special effect to de-naturalize a clip of to animate the colors of an otherwise boring title.
