Version restrictions:
- As mentioned on the main page, Sigma Chess 6.1 Lite is freeware. Although its a complete, full strength chess program and not just a demo, certain high end features of the commercial Sigma Chess 6.1 Pro version are either limited or disabled:
- The new position and opening line filters are only available for collections with at most 100 games.
- The new player rating history graph only shows the first 10 games.
- Collections can contain a maximum of 1000 games.
- Changes to opening/position libraries cannot be saved.
- Only the KQKR and KBNK endgame databases are included. The commercial Pro version contains several other 4-piece endings.
- Automatic game annotation/analysis are disabled for collections.
- Diagrams are not printed when printing collections/online chess books.
- Diagrams are not included when exporting collections/online chess books to HTML
- Transposition tables are limited to 10 MB, whereas the commercial version can handle transposition tables up to a size of 320 MB.
- At most three windows can be opened simultaneously.
- Monitor mode is not available.
- UCI engines are limited to max 64 MB transposition/hash tables.
- UCI engines cannot reduce the playing strength to a specific ELO setting.
- UCI engines cannot access Nalimov tablebases.

Polyominoes is really four games in one.In GAME mode, you have a very interesting strategy game in which you try to put the last piece on the board. You can use any of the 100 different boards, or create your own boards!

In CHALLENGE mode, youre provided with a position from the game mode in which youre challenged to find the winning move (and one always exists, no matter how hard it is for you to find it!). Its similar to chess mate-in-x puzzles.

In JIGSAW PUZZLE mode, you can try to place all the pieces on any of the boards. providing countless hours of jigsaw puzzle fun.In SPANNING PUZZLE mode, you try to "span" the board with the fewest number of pieces. The program keeps track of all of your best efforts.

Haithabu is easy in concept - all you need to do is navigate your chess knight across the board. Paint every square and you advance to the next level. Easy!
As you advance through the levels, they get bigger. You start with a simple 3x3 grid, advance to 4x4 and so on up.
But starting on level 10, it starts to get tougher - you return to your 3x3 grid and now have to paint two different colors before you get to advance. The board increases in size until level 30, when you go back to 3x3 and now must paint 3 colors.
With randomly generated boards in infinite combination, this is a game that never wears out. Only you do.
Your piece is a chess knight and moves in the standard fashion - two squares in any one direction, then one square left or right. Or, alternatively, one square in any direction, then two squares left or right. In other words, in an "L" shape.
There are three difficulty settings for all levels of play.
