Enhancements:
- Preferences apply changes to open windows. Previously, windows would need to be closed for preferences changes to be applied.
- Hot-swapping of Bible versions. Previously, if a user with multiple versions of the Bible changed default versions in the Preferences dialog, restarting iBible was necessary. Now the new version loads while the program is running.
- VASTLY improved loading speed. iBible formerly took about 15 seconds to load on my PowerBook 1GHz G4. It now takes about one second.
- Search result count now displayed. Formerly iBible would display how many times a specified search string was found in the Bible. Subsequent versions deleted that feature for various reasons. 2.6 brings it back.
- Respecting the Dock. iBible is a Carbon application, which made it difficult to respect the dock location, thus windows would sometimes be behind the dock. 2.6 respects the dock.
- Added a version-checking system so users can see if they have the latest version of iBible, and prompts them to upgrade if a newer version is available online.
- FINALLY squashed a bug where opening new display windows would cause the second window to appear EXACTLY over the top of the first one. This was a heinous error to track down!
- Version pulldown menu in Preferences pane would not reflect the currently selected version. Fixed.
- Icon issues in various dialog boxes were fixed.
- About box now renders correctly.

You can display Bible passages and notes in any number of windows, limited only by available memory. Most operations can be performed using either the mouse or keyboard commands. The program is both powerful and easy to use. The basic text for the Online Bible is the 1769 Authorized Version, commonly known as the King James Version, indexed to about 350,000 Greek and Hebrew words using Strong's numbers.

In addition to all the Strong's numbers, over 100,000 verb parsings have been added. Footnotes from the original translators are also included. Complete search facilities include, word, phrase, multiple words, wild cards, and much more. Searches can use AND, OR, XOR, NOT, and proximity operators to select verses. The range for searches can be restricted. All verses are displayed in context rather than asking you to choose a verse from a list to display. Searches are very fast, taking only a second or two even on an older Mac. You can add notes to a verse using the built-in editor. Cross-references can be included in your notes for automatic recall. In addition to verse notes, topical material, pictures, and word studies can also be saved.

Verses or notes can be printed or saved as ASCII text files for inclusion in most word processing documents. Copying text between this program and your word processor can easily be done via the clipboard. The Bible FKey which is included can be used from within any editor or word processor to automatically insert Bible passages directly into the document you're currently working on without switching applications.
