atMonitor 1.19.0
The most advanced Mac OS X system monitor and process explorer utility. Data is collected and displayed in the Activity Viewer, with a choice of either using a beautifully designed floating window more>>
atMonitor 1.19.0 is considered such as the professional Mac OS X system monitor and process explorer tool for user. Data is collected and displayed in the "Activity Viewer", with a choice of either using a beautifully designed floating window that blends right into the desktop without being distracting, or installed in the menu bar leaving your desktop untouched.
Major Features:
- atMonitor is the most advanced Mac OS X system monitor and process explorer utility. Data is collected and displayed in the "Activity Viewer", with a choice of using a beautifully designed floating window that blends right into the desktop without being distracting, or installed in the menu bar leaving your desktop untouched, or both. Some of the unique features include GPU and FPS monitoring as well as the ability to manipulate processes. atMonitor can also be set to log collected information and save it to XML file for further investigation. Triggers can be setup to execute scripts when given resource reaches its target value.
- Developers will appreciate the ability to monitor system resources that include the top 3 most CPU hungry processes, CPU, CPU Temperature, RAM, GPU, GPU Temperature, VRAM, FPS, Disk I/O and Net I/O. Any BSD signal can be sent to any process. The impact of atMonitor itself on the system resources is minimal as it has been highly optimzed for speed, memory and CPU usage.
- System administrators will have the ability to setup triggers to execute scripts as a way to keep track of the system resource usage. Set of priorities can be setup and automatically applied to specific processes (renice).
- Power users will enjoy the "top" window which combines the best features of both "top" and "ps" commands. No longer will the running processes remain a mystery as atMonitor will display their names, description, full path, arguments, environment, linked libraries, opened files as well as the "man pages" (for those processes that have them). Control is given back to the user who will now have the ability to inspect and manipulate any process, including the ability to pausing and killing processes.
- Gamers will be happy to learn that full screen application monitoring is finally available: GPU and FPS samples can be displayed on top of their running games and be used to optimize graphics settings.
- Finally, everyone will be thrilled with the freedom and customizability of atMonitor as the look and feel can be adjusted.
- Exploring processes
- A very powerful feature of atMonitor is the top window (a combination of Unix "top" and "ps" commands) which you can use to find out process information as well as manipulate it. You will be able to monitor the status, priority, RAM usage, CPU utilization, ownership, thread count, process ID and find any zombie processes as well as their parents.
- Logging
- With a simple key shortcut you can use atMonitor's logging feature to sample your CPU, top 3 CPU processes, RAM, top 3 RAM processes, GPU, VRAM, FPS as well as both Disk and Networking I/O throughputs. You can then save the results as an XML document for more detailed offline analysis.
- Flexibility
- One of the key features of atMonitor is high level of customization allowed. Not only can you decide which resources to track, but also how to display them. Options include horizontal and vertical layouts, different font sizes, transparency and more. You can also allow the "activity viewer" to follow you across the Mac OS X spaces and specify whether or not it should respond to mouse clicks. In addition, you can choose to utilize atMonitor's Dock icon to display one resource of your choice. If you prefer, you can choose to have atMonitor display its "activity viewer" in the menu bar to save screen real estate.
Requirements:
- Requires Mac OS X 10.5 A modern video card is required for monitoring GPU activity

MOC 2.5.0 Alpha2
MOC (music on console) is a console audio player with a simple ncurses interface in playmp3list style more>>
You just need to select a file from some directory using the menu similar to Midnight Commander, and MOC will start playing all files in this directory beginning from the chosen file. There is no need to create play lists like in other players.
If you want to combine some files from one or few directories on one play list, you can do this. The play list will be remembered between runs or you can save it as an m3u file to load it whenever you want.
Need the console where MOC is running for more important things? Need to close the X terminal emulator? You dont have to stop playing - just press q and the interface will be detached leaving the server running. You can attach it later, or you can attach one interface in the console, and another in the X terminal emulator, no need to switch just to play another file.
MOC plays smoothly, regardless of system or I/O load because it uses the output buffer in a separate thread. It will not cause gaps between files, because the next file to be played will be precached while playing the current file. Internet stream (Icecast, Shoutcast) are supported. Key mapping can be fully customized.
Supported file formats are: mp3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, Musepack, Speex, WAVE, AIFF, AU (and other less popular formats supported by libsndfile. New formats support is under development.

ElectropaintOSX 0.3
ElectropaintOSX is designed as an amazing OS X screensaver module port of Kent Rosenkoetters clone more>>
ElectropaintOSX 0.3 is designed as an amazing OS X screensaver module port of Kent Rosenkoetter's clone of SGI's Electropaint screensaver "the most mesmerizing screensaver ever written". Kent's page can be found here. Kent eloquently describes it best: "Back in the day, when SGI was the pinacle of the graphics field, included in IRIX was a pretty little screensaver known as electropaint.
It consisted of only a few quads swirling around the screen on a black background, but for everyone who saw it, the memory was burned in, never to be forgotten. It was simply the most mesmerizing screensaver ever written.
Entire rooms of educated computer scientists were reduced to drooling unblinking zombies within minutes." This port only wraps Kent's OpenGL code in a screensaver module using Objective-C++. The source is released under the General Public License.
Requirements: OS X 10.2.8 or later
