Entourage Quick Project lets you create a Project which can then be linked to email, notes, contacts, or just about anything else in your system. It will even create special watch folders in order to hold your project files. You can set Project deadlines and track your progress through a series of panels and custom views. And if you are clever with Applescript, you can generate activity reports that answer the question So what’s the status on this? (More on that later).

But the system has an Achilles Heal, and it’s a big one. In order to actually create a project, the user is forced to work through a series of 4 screens worth of hair-pulling Q&A in the Entourage Project Wizard - each of which, with multiple options! Now if you only ever plan to create 3 projects in your life, this is no big deal. But if your workflow is based on something more dynamic (say GTD, for example), this just doesn’t work.

I present you with two options. You can take the Blue Pill, launch your computer out that 3-story window you’ve been eyeing, and go back to paper. Or you can take the Red Pill and download this nifty applescript, which lets you create a project at the touch of a button!

- The Issue Tracking Option allows to report, track and manage project-related issues directly within Onepoint Project. Issues can be prioritized and support simple escalation scenarios. Like ad hoc tasks, issues are shown in personal task lists and support tracking of time and costs.

- All multi-project overviews now feature a simple, but powerful project traffic light. The status of the traffic light can be set by the project manager and indicates the internal overall status of the project. In addition, the project status color is visualized in the multi-project schedule.

- The new report wizard allows manager users of Onepoint Project to create their own tabular reports simply via point & click. Such custom reports can then be saved and shared with other users or groups within the project organization. Custom reports support grouping, sorting and filtering.

ProjectGesture is a nice and easy-to-use project management application.
It helps you managing several projects at once and to add tasks, adjust them priority and status ( done, remaining and processing ) with a simple user interface. You can print the list of project or of tasks directly from ProjectGesture. Your database is saved and loaded automatically.
The Keynote Mode is an interface which we created to make you able to show the status of your project to a public by hiding all edit components and showing big fonts in a fullscreen window.
