Yahoo Mail Helper is an AppleScript that allows you to select a yahoo account from a list and be logged on automatically.

Some set up is required for Yahoo Mail Helper to wor properly.

I have included instructions within the script that should be clear enough to guide anyone through setup.

This release fixes a problem with version 1.0 that caused it to stop working after a day or two. Setup is also much easier than before and no longer requires the Yahoo messenger application.

The gnomoMail function is to detect when we receive a message in our square of the mail application. If a message is received it will show in your gnomo screen.

It can be change by a window wih the warning, allowing to read or to erase it.

The application has option for its configuration, can work with two accounts POP 3 or IMAP.

Yahoo Translating HTTP Proxy (YTP) is a two-way translator which works with your Yahoo! Messenger to translate your typed message into a various languages.

Your friend will receive translated message, and she can type back in the translated language. For example, if you type to her in English, she can receive the message in French.

She can then type back in French and you will get the message in English. The following languages are supported:

English -> German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese
German -> English, French
Spanish -> English
French -> English, German
Italian -> English
Portuguese -> English

The Yahoo Translating Proxy is a HTTP proxy, which intercepts your Yahoo messages, translates them using Google Translate and sends them on to the destination user (via a Yahoo Server somewhere on the Internet).

Can the proxy handle multiple Yahoo sessions simultaneously?

Yes. Each Yahoo conversation between two users has an associated session ID. The proxy keeps track of each Yahoo session, and remembers which language, if any, is translating to and from. That is why it can be used as a central server for any number of users, only limited by hardware limitations.

How do inline commands work?

Inline commands are special commands which can be typed in the Yahoo Messenger screen. They tell the proxy to take certain actions, like start or stop translation. They are not sent to the remote user, instead, he is informed of the action taken by the proxy.
