xselect similar 1.1
xselect similar 1.1
I often find myself having to select, for instance, all the jpg images among docs, movies and folders etc.
I dont want to change the view, sort by type, and then manually select all the JPEGs, thats so 90s!
Instead, try this little utility.
Put it in the Finder windows toolbar, the Dock or bind it to a Key-combination for easy access.
A Finder window must be open and in focus.
The similar selection is based on the kind of item not extension (image1.jpg and image2.JPG will both be selected).
Several different kinds of items can be selected, if the initial selection is (text.txt, image.jpg, myfolder).
Then all the txt, jpg and folder items will be selected.
Knows Issues:
If a Finder window is in column view mode and only folders are selected, it doesnt work as expected.
Fix & enhancements by Guillaume Cerquant.
Whats New in This Release:
· 1.1 improves the way the widget queries data from iTunes, making it snappier.
Unlike most of the similar tools, it doesnt rely on blacklists (although it does support them). The problem with blacklists is that advertisers are always one step ahead. You see an ad slip through, you update your blacklist, and in case it didnt help, you add a new entry yourself.
Once I got tired of that, I decided to write a proxy that would detect ads heuristically, much like modern anti-virus software manages to detect many viruses unknown to it.
Here are some key features of "BFilter":
· HTTP/0.9 - HTTP/1.1, WebDAV support.
· Persistent connections (HTTP/1.1 only).
· Pipelining (HTTP/1.1 only).
· HTTP compression.
· Forwarding to another proxy (HTTP proxies only).
· A built-in javascript engine.
· Heuristic Flash analyzer.
· Ability to apply regular expressions to a page.
· Blacklists, whitelists, hint lists.
· All processing is done on the fly. It doesnt load the whole page before processing.
Whats New in This Release:
· BFilter now caches external scripts it fetches for analyzing.
· Filtering accuracy was improved.
· Added a workaround for "Error decompressing response" problem with Opera and some websites.
· JavaScript engine was updated.
· Windows and Mac OS X build systems now use CMake.
Balloons creates balloons in the video as a title.
In the Plain Text commands, the specified data is always handled as plain text. That is, the data is coerced to plain text (by Apple Event Manager) first if it is not.
For example, even the styled text is coerced to plain text anyway so that the original script (language) code is not considered.
Whats New in This Release:
· Mac OS X version and PowerPC native versions are now available.
· The file name was changed from "Text X" to "Check Text".
· Functionally not changed from 1.1.1 but some parts of code were improved.
While most LaTeX editors have similar built-in wizards, they usually only provide very basic functionality and prepare documents most authors would be able to create by heart.
The reason for this is probably that the programmer doesnt want to limit the writers to a specific layout - which is of course a possible approach. However, when writing LaTeX documents there are often several ways of doing things, but only one correct way.
Therefore TeXwiz allows the user to set most of the options that have to be set in a majority of all documents and produces LaTeX code which is in compliance with two important publications about DOs and DONTs: LaTeX Sündenregister (in German) and the KOMA script documentation scrguien / scrguide (included in most LaTeX distribution).
Whats New in This Release:
· Fixed crash when used with Kile.
All the functionality is already built and you can just drop it into your app via bindings or delegation.
Whats New in This Release:
· Provides photo removal support and provides accelerated drawing during resize.
Clue: This is my own self-development, independent there are existing similar programs in the meantime.
Whats New in This Release:
· Version 1.1 removes the authentication system. Payment is now by donation via paypal.
Whats New in This Release:
· Version 1.1 adds the ability to specify the error limit, and has better handling of a tape being inserted into the DAT drive.
Timecode Calculator - A simple calculator for editors that accepts entries similar to professional programs.
The original image files are never never modified; if you drop a folder, a similar folder with a new name will be created with all the images deinterlaced.
This allows you to easily deinterlace as many images as you like at once with a touch of a button.
