Welcome to SkyORB ...Free space simulation and star gazing utility.
SkyORB is a 3D planetarium, star gazing and epheremis, based from V3X.net engine. It features a modern 3D interface, search engine, a large catalog of stars, planets, moons and updatable comets and asteroids database, and let you choose see the actual sky from any point on Earth or from any planet from the solar system.
Main features:
- SkyORB allows you to fine tune your observation location by entering longitude, latitude and elevation or select from a large database.
- Information like sunset and sunrise are computed and special events like solstices or equinoxes are notified.
- If location is set from Earth, moon phases are displayed as well as events like solar or lunar eclipses.
- The sky map is drawn with realtime precession.
- You can rotate freely and in realtime in 360 degrees with up to 60000 stars renderered. A complete set of Deep Space objects (Messiers) and downloadable comets and asteroids set can be rendered as well.
- Moon and other planets are rendered in 3D.

The SMea Kit is an open-source, high-level 3D graphics library, written in Objective-C atop OpenGL and Mac OS Xs Cocoa framework.

It is designed to support virtual reality applications, in which multiple articulated human figures interact on an expansive landscape. However, many of the kits components are quite general, providing functionality needed in any 3D program.

You can mix and match classes as you like. You might also use the kit as a tutorial to help you get started with OpenGL.

ReKey uses one of the many interesting features of Mac OS Xs Cocoa to allow you to change the keyboard shortcuts in any Cocoa application, without actually modifying the application itself. All your modifications are saved in the preferences file of the application, and therefore do not affect other users of the system.

Because of limitations in the Carbon Application Programming Interface, you can only modify the shortcuts of Cocoa applications. Cocoa applications are Mac OS X applications that only run on Mac OS X, and do not have Mac OS 9 compatibility.

iPod Express is an AppleScript item to create vCards (Contacts) for Apples iPod from the Address Book in Outlook Express.
iPod Express can also be used to export the Outlook Express Address Book to Mac OS Xs Address Book (select Import vCards in the OS X Address Book).

Pref Setter is an tool designed to view and edit Mac OS Xs preference files. Very useful for many things, including enabling options not available via an applications preferences.
How do I use it?
The application is rather simple to use. When you launch it, it will display a floating window on the left of the screen. This window will display all of the preference files that could be found. Double click (or use the menu option File -> Open Quickly or keyboard shortcut Shift-Command-O (??O) or the contextual menu) to open any of these preference files. Here, youll see the contents of the preference file, and can edit them if you so wish.
Pref Setter has full undo/redo support. Anything that you add/delete/modify can be undone or redone. There is also cut/copy/paste/drag & drop support.
Pref Setter also has a find feature, that will search through your preference files looking for occurrences of the search term you give it.
You can double click on any returned results to open that preference file up, or select multiple results and use the menu option "Open Quickly" (keyboard shortcut Shift-Command-O (??O) ) or use the contextual menu.
There is help available via Pref Setters Help menu if you need more specific help.
How much will it cost me?
Nothing. Nada. Zilch. In other words, completely free. Im committed to keeping all of my applications free, both now and in the future.
Enhancements:
- Fixed a bug where canceling when asked to save could cause Pref Setter to crash.
- Fixed a bug where dragging or pasting a "defaults write..." string that has a domain that doesnt already exist would create a new file for that domain, but that file wouldnt be writable by Pref Setter.
- Fixed a bug where doing a reverse search in a plist document would actually return all items.
- Fixed a bug where removing all the text in a search in a plist document would cause the search field to stop working until you clicked on the list and then back into the search bar.
