The Mac OS X Encoding Plethora OS X scripts let you encode or decode items by dropping them on the script or by using a contextual menu.

If the item is compressed, the script will decode it, otherwise it will encode. Encoding plethora 1.3.1 is an effective utility in that you can encode or decode items simply by dropping them on the script. If the item is already compressed the script will decode it, otherwise it will encode. They are a lot better at working with long filenames and "strange" characters than Aladdin Systems Stuffit Expander and also deal with formats that Stuffit Expander chokes on.
