The QWERTY layout was designed in the 19th century to allow typewriter salesmen to easily type the word "typewriter" and to prevent typebars from sticking. Weve been stuck with QWERTY ever since.

Colemak is a modern alternative to the QWERTY and Dvorak layouts. It is designed for efficient and ergonomic touch typing in English.

Colemak learning is a one-time investment that will allow you to enjoy faster and pain-free typing for the rest of your life. Colemak is now the 3rd most popular keyboard layout for touch typing in English, after QWERTY and Dvorak.

Warning about passwords: If you have any passwords in your computer, either change them (e.g. with a password of numbers only), or learn them in the new layout!

Dvorak Improved - Qwerty is a layout just like Apples Dvorak - Qwerty, except that when you hold down Shift and Command, the proper layout is displayed.
Originally when you held down these keys, it would display the unshifted Qwerty display, regardless of the status of shift (Command = Shift + Command).
Because of this problem, it is impossible to perform keystrokes such as Command + : and Command + ?.
This file fixes the problem
Instalation:
- Insert both files inside this folder into: ~/Library/Keyboard Layouts OR/ Library/Keyboard Layouts
- Log out, then log back in for the changes to take place
- Go to System Preferences -> International -> Input Menu
- There should be a new keyboard layout called "Dvorak Improved - Qwerty ?"
- Check that preference, and then select "Show input menu in menu bar" at the bottom of the window
- Select the new layout from the menu bar item
- You may turn this menu item off once you have selected your new layout

Romanian Keyboard Layouts is a complete set of keyboard layouts for Romanian, also reflecting the last update of the Romanian Keyboard Layout standard (1998, revised August 2004).

The Read-Me files will guide the user to the meandering standard of Romanian, including various problems referring to cross-platform compatibility (Mac OS classic, Mac OS X, Windows and Linux).

The Save to iDisk script, when edited to suit local conditions, will mount a designated iDisk, save whatever was dropped onto it to the Documents folder of the iDisk, then put away the iDisk and empty the trash.
