Myth II DNS Fix 1.0 is a flexible and easy to use fix that will allow you to log in to the relocated bungie.net server.

For this fix to work you must be running the latest version of Myth II: v1.3 for the PC, v1.3.1 for the Mac. After you update try connecting to bungie.net. If you're unable to connect, download the appropriate file from the right column and follow the instructions below.

Mac Users: Your download contains 2 files, one called "bungienet" and one called "Bungie.net DNS". Move the "bungienet" file into the folder called "preferences" found inside the Myth II folder. This file may already exist in this folder. If it does, overwrite it, you need the new one. Then move the "Bungie.net DNS" file into the folder called "plugins", also inside the Myth II folder. Log in to bungie.net.

MacDNS 1.0.4

It is also simple to create host "aliases" (multiple names which map to the same IP address) and to set up mail exchanger information. MacDNS supports both standard and reverse queries (name-to-IP-address, IP-address-to-name). MacDNS imports and exports data files in standard zone format. This means that existing host entries from UNIX-based DNS servers can be easily imported into MacDNS. Multiple domains can be served simultaneously.MacDNS 1.0.4 fixes some problems in MacDNS 1.0.3 and earlier versions, providing improved performance and reliability. Upgrading to version 1.0.4 is recommended for all MacDNS customers. This version of MacDNS is available under the terms of a no-fee license. The license agreement appears the first time you open the MacDNS program. Click the Agree button to accept the terms of the agreement.

StaticCharge 0.7

StaticCharge 0.7

Client for the dynamic DNS service. more>>
StaticCharge is a client for the dynamic DNS service. StaticCling.org is a free and spiffy dynamic DNS service. Dynamic DNS is an internet service originally used mainly with dialup users, but has spread to anyone that wants a domain name for their computer, and doesnt want to spend the cash or deal with the hassle of buying their own.

Unlike normal domains, dynamic DNS records are set to expire very quickly, which means that old or outdated information doesnt hang around on the net.

You can update your host record as often as you like, and be reachable at yourhosthere.staticcling.org to the outside world. No one that wants to reach your computer need remember what your IP address is, including you.

There are other people out there doing this sort of thing, in homage to the late dyn.ml.org. We wont hate you if you use those others instead of us. Well just talk badly about you behind your back and spread ugly rumors about your sex life.

Your friends will point and laugh when they see you arent using a staticcling.org domain.

Honestly and objectively as we can be: we personally like StaticCling because we are just a couple of guys that want to give back to the internet community.

We have no corporate sponsorship, and were not raking in banner ad money. Were just doing this because we like it, and were not planning on going anywhere. Weve kept it simple. It works. Its fun to share.

MyDNS 1.1.0

MyDNS 1.1.0

Free and open source DNS server for UNIX systems more>> Free and open source DNS server for UNIX systems

MyDNS is a free DNS server for UNIX. MyDNS was implemented from scratch and is designed to serve records directly from an SQL database (currently either MySQL or PostgreSQL).
Its primary objectives are security, interoperability, stability, and speed, though not necessarily in that order.

System requirements:
-

Enhancements:
- Implemented RFC 2136 (DNS UPDATE). See the manual for usage instructions.
- Fixed minor bug in admin.php where if db_get_settings() failed, it might display an error message without consistent formatting.
- Added two additional fields to the --verbose query log. The opcode of the query (QUERY or UPDATE), and a quoted field containing a description of the UPDATE performed, if the opcode was UPDATE.
- Updated contrib/stats.php to handle new log fields.
- Fixed bug in --dump-config -- if present, fields without default values ("no-listen", "soa-where", "rr-where", and "recursive") were not being dumped.
- Made --dump-config dump ALL possible configuration options, even if no value was originally specified. As such, MyDNS will no longer warn the user when a config option doesnt have a value. It will be silently ignored.
- Including after a suggestion by Christian Tschenett, to help things out on 64-bit platforms like OSX. If this creates problems on your platform, please let me know.
- Modified admin.php to allow a backslash in the mbox field, immediately preceding a dot. This is used in DNS to indicate the presence of a dot in the username part of the administrators email address. There was an additional bug report from Andreas Grip that MyDNS was replying with the slashes doubled up in this case, but it appears to be a problem with the "dig" program, not MyDNS.
- Fixed bug with "rr-where" clause -- conf.c was using "soa-where" instead. David Darville first reported this bug. Michael Gile submitted it two minutes later, with a patch.
- Added "create_domain.pl" to the contrib/ directory. Thanks to Gerard de Brieder for this script. See contrib/README for more information.
- Fixed bug in src/lib/rr.c (mydns_rr_load) that caused a segfault if origin was NULL (it was designed to allow NULL, but this version is the first to ever call it in that way).
- Added support for NAPTR (RFC 2915) records. Users with existing MyDNS databases will need to alter their tables to allow "NAPTR" in the "type" column if they want to use NAPTR.
- Renamed library functions mydns_parse_rr() and mydns_parse_soa() to mydns_rr_parse() and mydns_soa_parse(), for consistency.
- Library functions mydns_rr_dup() and mydns_soa_dup() now fail (terminating the program) if out of memory.
- Moved routines that parse data for individual RR types (RP, SRV, and NAPTR) into individual functions from mydns_rr_parse for clarity.
- Fixed bug where AXFR might transmit incorrect information if a FQDN is used in the name field.
- Fixed AXFR bug with ALIAS enabled. Thanks to Sven Wegener for the patch.
- Created file "README.mysql" to address various problems common while compiling with MySQL support.
- Fixed "use of cast expressions as lvalues is deprecated" warning (caused compilation abort with --enable-debug).
- Added hostname to beginning of SIGUSR1 status output.
- Renamed "update" column in the soa table to "update_acl"; how could I be so stupid as to name a column "update"?!
- Fixed a critical denial-of-service vulnerability.

iodine 0.5.2

iodine 0.5.2

Free IPv4 over DNS tunneling client more>> Free IPv4 over DNS tunneling client

This can be usable in different situations where internet access is firewalled, but DNS queries are allowed.
iodine runs on Mac OS X, Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD and OpenBSD and needs a TUN/TAP device.
The bandwidth is assymetrical with limited upstream and up to 1 Mbit/s downstream.
The name iodine was chosen since it starts with IOD (IP Over DNS) and since
iodine has atomic number 53, which happens to be the DNS port number.
NOTE: iodine is licensed and distributed under the terms of the ISC license.

Main features:
- iodine uses the NULL type that allows the downstream data to be sent without encoding. Each DNS reply can contain nearly a kilobyte of payload data.
- iodine runs on many different UNIX-like systems. Tunnels can be set up between two hosts no matter their endianness or operating system.
- iodine uses challenge-response login secured by MD5 hash. It also filters out any packets not coming from the IP used when logging in.
- iodine handles setting IP number on interfaces automatically, and up to 8 users can share one server at the same time.

Enhancements
- Fixed client segfault on OS X
- Added check that nameserver lookup was successful
- Fixed ENOTSOCK error on OS X and FreeBSD
