Web Help Desk Pro 9.2.2.1 is regarded as a convenient and professional program which provides an industry leading web-based help desk software that empowers IT help desk technicians with iPhone web-app access, email-to-ticket conversion, trouble ticket email notifications, self-service knowledge base, track billable time & materials, LDAP & AD integration, and asset inventory management. Web Help Desk includes asset integration with any major asset discovery solution; including Apple Remote Desktop and Microsoft SCCM/SMS.
Major Features:
- 100% Web-Based Interface
- The Web Help Desk features an intuitive, easy to use, graphical tabbed interface. Administrators, Technicians, and Clients need only a web browser to utilize the application. Remote access from any location is possible by anyone with an internet connection and a web browser, regardless of platform.
- Cross Platform Technology
- The Web Help Desk offers installers for Mac OS X Server, Windows 2000 Server or later, Linux, and Solaris. Because its written in Java, the Web Help Desk runs on any server with Java 5 installed (included in Windows and Linux installers). From a client-side perspective, end-users need only a web browser to utilize the solution; no applets, Flash, or other plug-ins required.
- Database Back-end
- With its integrated FrontBase server on Mac OS X and Windows, the Web Help Desk ensures that all your information is safely stored in a relational database providing a robust back-end to handle your growing needs. We also offer support for Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or later, MySQL 5, PostgreSQL, Oracle 8i or later and OpenBase.
- Help Request Prioritization
- The Web Help Desk software uses intelligent business logic to determine which technician is assigned to a new ticket. Using a combination of location, skill-set, work schedule and work load balancing, you always get the right tech for the job. Group various locations and departments to allow the tracking of requests from separate entities within your organization to be centrally managed. Jobs can also be assigned to a Tech Group pool, so your technicians can select jobs as they become available.
- Client Request and Self Help
- Clients have a simple interface to submit requests, view updates on previous requests, and self-serve with the FAQ Knowledge Base. The Help Request form dynamically updates as the end user defines what type of help request they are submitting. Custom fields, in the form of text boxes, popup menus, radio buttons or check boxes, are displayed dynamically based on the Problem Type chosen by the client end-user.
- E-Mail Based Submission and Updating
- Help requests can be submitted via e-mail to one or more dedicated e-mail addresses. Help desk e-mail accounts are monitored by the application, with new messages used to automatically generate tickets (including attachments). Requests can be updated by e-mail to add notes, change status, attach files and reassign a Technician.

Attach one or more files to each FAQ to make knowledge sharing even more powerful.
- iCalendar Integration
- Monitor your ticket due dates and scheduled work hours using Apples iCal on Mac OS X, Outlook 2007 or Mozilla.orgs Calendar application. Subscribe to calendars for a specific Technician, Tech Group, or a saved query for ultimate flexibility. Complete ticket information is available in each calendar entrys notes field.
- E-Mail Alerts

Technicians and management can be alerted when jobs have been left unchecked, unassigned or incomplete for a specified time period.
- PDF Generation and Spreadsheet Exports
- The web is an ideal cross platform method to deliver dynamic information, but for printing, it leaves much to be desired. We've integrated real-time PDF generation into the Web Help Desk to make the printing and e-mailing of help request lists, performance reports and asset information a beautiful experience. All of these items may also be downloaded as tab delimited text files perfect for manipulating in your favorite spreadsheet application.

K9 Web Protection 4.0.288
Content filtering solution for your home computer. more>> Content filtering solution for your home computer.
K9 Web Protection is a content filtering solution for your home computer. Its job is to provide you with a family-safe Internet experience, where YOU control the Internet content that enters your home.
K9 Web Protection implements the same enterprise-class Web filtering technology used by Blue Coats Fortune 500 customers around the world, wrapped in simple, friendly, and reliable preference pane for your Mac.
Blue Coats unique Web filtering technology divides Internet content into 60 distinct categories. These categories are stored in the master Blue Coat database, through which we maintain and update more than 15 million ratings of websites and domains.
A Web site will fall into one or more of these categories, based on the content of the site. To meet your particular preferences and needs, you can configure the software to allow or block specific categories.
Known Issues:
1. When browsing a web site that is blocked by K9 Web Protection, selecting the option to Allow This Site or Allow This Category intermittently does not accept the K9 administrator password.
2. K9 error and warning pages that include the option to override the Web filter intermittently do not accept the K9 administrator password. Refreshing the page should clear the problem and allow Internet access again.
NOTE: K9 Web Protection is free for home use.
Main features:
- Block 60 Content Categories: Blue Coats unique Web filtering technology divides Internet content into 60 content categories. These categories are stored in the master Blue Coat database, through which we maintain and update more than eight million ratings of websites and domains. A Web site will fall into one or more of these categories, based on the content of the site. To meet your particular needs and preferences, you can configure the software to block or allow specific categories.
- Time Restrictions: K9 Web Protection enables you to restrict the time of day users can access Web sites. If there are specific times when you do and do not want your family accessing the Web, this feature assists you in enforcing that policy.
- Web Site Exceptions: In addition to the defined and custom protection levels, K9 Web Protection allows you to explicitly block or allow access to specific Web sites. For example, K9 is blocking a site, but you want to allow access to it, but not any others in the category.
- Blocking Effects: K9 Web Protection offers an audible feature in which the application plays a bark when a user attempts to access a blocked site. This feature is useful to alert a parent, teacher, or other care provider that someone under his or her supervision might be stumbling onto offensive or inappropriate content. K9 also enables Time Out Settings. If a user attempts to visit too many blocked sites in a specified period of time, K9 completely blocks access to the Web for a specified time.
- URL Keywords: K9 Web Protection allows you to block access to Web pages based on keywords in the Web page URL. You can, for example, block any Web page that has the word sex in the URL.
- Web Search Options: K9 Web Protection offers the option of enforcing the use of Google SafeSearch, which diminishes the amount of adult material that might be returned as a result of an Internet search. This feature is enabled by default. Currently, K9 Web Protection supports the safe search functionality of the Google Search Engine only.
- View Reports of Internet Activity: K9 Web Protection allows you to view reports of all Internet browsing activity and administrative actions.
System requirements:
- Memory: At least 256 megabytes (MB) of RAM.
- Hard disk: 25 MB free space.
- Other: Internet connection.
