Lemmings are cute, but not offensively cute little creatures that drop from a trapdoor at the top of the screen. As soon as they hit the floor, they start walking. They have no sense for the surreal beauty of their surroundings, nor for the dangers that lurk beneath it. They just keep on walking till they meet an obstacle, which will simply make them revert their direction, or till they fall of some cliff.
Left to their own device, they will, as mentioned, fall off a cliff, be smashed under a press, dissolved in an acid pool, or fall prey to even more sadistic contraptions. Or they just might find themselves in a pit, wandering aimlessly, endlessly, to and fro.
To prevent these dire fates, you can assign roles to individual lemmings. Blockers just stand there and function as obstacles. Diggers can dig downwards through soft, miners through hard surfaces. Bashers do the same horizontally. There are about a dozen such functions.
Your goal, of course, is to lead as many lemmings as possible (you have to reach a quota) through the exit in the assigned time and move on to the next level. You will be given a codeword so you can continue playing where you left off, there are no savegames. (That goes for the DOS and Amiga versions, in the Windows version there are, and most certainly in the Mac version too). You can choose four difficulty levels (fun, tricky, taxing, mayhem) which are actually four different games.
The graphics of Lemmings are a gem of classical game art. The lemmings are only a dozen or so pixels tall, yet their green hair flies, and the blockers foot taps. Backgrounds are eerily beautiful, they show what can be done with 32 colors. The music adds some irony to the game.
Lemmings are maybe the greatest gift the Amiga ever gave to the gaming world in general. The game was ported to most platforms of the time, and sequels continue to be created. Psygnosis, the original publisher, was bought up in 1993 by Sony, who thus now hold the rights for Lemmings.

ClineFit fits genotypic data to equilibrium cline models developed by Nick Barton. ClineFit uses a numerical maximum likelihood algorithm (an MCMC method aka a Metropolis-Hastings algorithm aka a biased random walk), and returns maximum-likelihood estimates and 2-unit support limits.
ClineFit supports diploid, haplodiploid or sex-linked genotypic data using codominant loci.
ClineFit takes data in my own format (very similar to Swoffords BIOSYS) or Arlequin format. ClineFit requires that the location of each population sample be a number, placed as the last piece of information in the populations name.
ClineFitt also requires that you identify, as part of the name of each locus, the alleles that will be most frequent on the right side of the cline.

Main features:
clines with 2, 4, 6 & 8 primary shape parameters, including:
- center and width
- 4 parameters describing introgression tails on either side of the cline
- 2 parameters describing frequencies of asymptotic polymorphisms on each side of the cline, if they are not fixed.
- single or multiple markers
- disequilibrium estimates, from which dispersal and selection estimates are obtained in 6- & 8-parameter models
- models that omit parameters of your choice, such as the introgression tail on one side of the cline
- models that omit such parameters for some traits but not others, under your control
- models that combine parameters traits in ways that you control. For example, you can estimate a single center for all traits, or a unique center for each trait, or any combination in between.

Enhancements:

• Japanese international support has been added.
• Map loading has been optimized; walking through the world is now much smoother in many areas.
• A crash related to playing sounds (which generally manifested itself in the Glitterdelve Mines) has been fixed. IMPORTANT! Due to this change, certain older save game files may no longer load. If you cannot load a particular save game, try loading another from the same general area or start a new game from scratch.
• Random crashes near Hiroth Castle in the French and German builds have been fixed.
• Option+Key commands (particularly Opt+E, Opt+U, Opt+I, and Opt+N) now function better. Labels should no longer toggle on and off when using Option+Key commands.
• Critical Section threading is a bit more robust.
• A memory calculation bug in Macs with greater than 4GB of RAM has been fixed.
• A bug with calculating the true frequency (ie, speed) of the CPU has been fixed.
• GameRanger games now properly respect the player limit setting.
• New games now default to a resolution setting of 800x600.
• Savegame names are now correctly limited to 23 characters (previously save names with more than 23 characters would fail).
• New unsupported feature: Screen resolutions up to 1920x1200 are now allowed. To enable higher screen resolutions, edit the file "/Users/user name/Documents/Dungeon Siege/DungeonSiege.ini" and add the line "allow_unsupported_resolutions = 1". Then, start Dungeon Siege, go to the Options window, and click the Video tab to adjust the game resolution. If the game window becomes off-centered, try selecting the highest or lowest resolution your monitor can display, and then select the desired final resolution. Note that any resolution higher than 1024x768 is not supported.

breveWalker is a screensaver in which a physically simulated creature learns to walk using a genetic algorithm.
Starting with random walking behaviors, the system learns over time by selectively breeding and mutating these behaviors.
The behaviors are saved from run to run, so evolution continues where it left off every time the screensaver runs.
