wake 20050624 offers users a brilliant Perl program which can send Wake-on-LAN packets to wake up remote systems. It works on any system that has Perl installed and supports UDP; any Unix-like system and even Microsoft Windows should work
How does it work?
You call wake with the MAC address of the machine you want to wake up (e.g. wake 00:40:63:DE:56:3E). This MAC address is used to construct a special packet containing the sequence 0xffffffffffff, followed by 16 repetitions of the MAC address. The machine listens to the network, and if it detects this sequence, it is powered up. Of course, this requires that the machine supports Wake-on-LAN (usually, you also have to enable it in the BIOS).

Wake550 allows you to wake a sleeping computer from over a LAN. Simply type the MAC Address into the dialog box labeled Hardware Address more>> Wake550 allows you to wake a sleeping computer from over a LAN. Simply type the MAC Address into the dialog box labeled "Hardware Address". To find the MAC Address, use the "Network Utility" program found in the Utilities folder on the target machine, assuming it is running Mac OS X. The different MAC Addresses are listed under the info tab. Theoretically the program should wake Windows machines as well, assuming the Windows machine has a Wake-On-LAN compatible ethernet card. It will not wake a computer that is only connected to the network through Airport, as the Airport antenna of the target machine will power down while asleep.

Tech Database is FileMaker Pro 5 based and simple to use. It is comprised of two databases using relationships to create some cool unit selections.
One for hardware information and the second to store whatever images you choose to represent a given piece of hardware, (i.e. Laptops, CPUs, Modems, etc.) Printing reports has not yet been implemented in this version as I always find my exported data more useful than a printed report from FMPro.

Please note that Link Wrapper will force Linkification to only highlight part of a text link, version 1.2.2 of Linkification adds a "Thorough Mode" which is disabled by default that will resolve this, or you can just double-click on the unhighlighted text on the right of the text from a link to have it open properly.

Share My Desktop (SMD) is a simple little wrapper application that I created for OSXvnc in AppleScript Studio. SMD makes initiating a VNC server very simple.
SMD was developed as a tool to offer better support from Tech Support staff. SMD can be installed on client systems, so if the client needs assistance, they can call the Tech Support staff, initiate the VNC server, and give the Tech Support staff the connection information.
When the Tech Support staff is able to share the clients screen, they can SHOW the client what they need to do to fix a problem, rather than try to guide them by voice alone.
Enhancements:
- Preferences are now persistent
- Added a window to install and manage a system-wide VNC server
- Added a startup item for the system-wide VNC server
- Fixed a bug that would cause the Classic version of the Apple System Profiler to launch.
