Wolter Trash is, in fact, a trashcan: This application may be considered as very useful for some people. It looks like the finder trashcan, and this is what it behaves like. You can move data there, eject Volumes and you can double-click it to open the trash.

However, this is a program. Therefore, you can move it anywhere (to your desktop), or, you can create copies of it – just like the Mac OS 9 trashcan.

Trash 1.0 brings you an easy to use program which does nothing else as the Finder-Trash. It is a small but for some people very helpful Application. It looks like the Finder-Trash and works so: Drag & Drop move the Files into trash. Doubleclick opens the Trash. But it is a Program -- and so it is placable onto the desktop (or any other Place). So you have a trash like under Mac OS 9 and not only a trash in the Dock. This Version works in Panther.

ToolbarTrash is a freeware utility that puts a trashcan into the Mac OS X window toolbars.
It works a little different than the toolbars delete icon, in that you drag items to it, and you can click on it to open the trash.
Included are several alternative trash icons as well as the standard OS X one.
Enhancements:
- Corrected a bug where dragging items to the ToolbarTrash would fail in windows set to column view.

Empty Trash deletes stubborn trash files.
This script gets all the items which are in the Trash, converts their paths to unix style paths appropriate for Mac OS X, and uses the shell command "rm -rf" to remove them permanently from your drive(s).
The script was written to address the frequently occurring error -8062 (whatever the heck that is) when attempting to empty the Trash when it contains items from a removable drive such as a FireWire external, Compact Flash card, etc.
Enhancements:
- Fixed a bug where files with special unix characters in the filename would not be deleted.

Trash It! 3.6.1 is a mighty effective program that empties your Trash and/or removes stubborn items.

Especially useful if you have files or folders in the Trash with permissions set incorrectly, locked Trash items, want to securely delete a stuck item, or trash items from other partitions. If you drop files or folders onto the Trash It! icon, it will delete them immediately. If you double-click on it, it will clean out your Trash can. Trash It! should be used when:

• You can't get rid of trash items manually.
• You can't move items to the trash.
• You have a large number of items to delete (i.e., previous system folders).
• You just like using cool scripts. :)

This is not a Finder trash can replacement! It should be used as a last resort!

FunTrash is an addictive program that will let you have fun while trashing files!

It does a little more than Finders Move to Trash function. It shows neat animations while the files are moved to Trash.

Before you empty the Trash, it’s always wise to check what’s in the Trash first, especially if you have shown FunTrash to your kids and left kids unattended for a while.

Installation guide:

1. Double click on FunTrash.dmg file to mount the disk image file.
2. Drag FunTrash icon to your hard drive where you want to keep the application. For example, Applications folder.
3. You can unmount the installation disk image by clicking eject button.
4. Add FunTrash to Finder Toolbar or the Dock by dragging application icon over Toolbar or the Dock.
