Have you ever downloaded a song with foreign ID3 tags, only to find its title, artist, album, and other attributes a garbled mess of characters that in no way resemble what they should?
Transcoder is here to help! Select source and target encodings (some trial and error may be involved) and click the Transcode button to convert between character encodings.
Note that this program is more of a toy utility than anything else; it wont work in all cases (sometimes ID3 tags become garbled beyond repairif you see any question marks in the source text its a good sign that you wont get any useful results).
Transcoder is a Universal Binary and requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
