Evanescence Font is a professional and ideal icon font. The band's font was created for them as Fallen was in design. The font gives you a full alphabet plus the variant characters used on Evanescence's Fallen album (such as the encircled E and logo). This Series B font is harder to use. All OpenType from Adobe (except pi/ornaments fonts) include a design-sensitive euro currency symbol. You do not need these generic euro fonts, which are only supplied in Type 1 format, if you are using OpenType fonts from Adobe.

The Euro is the new European currency that has been in use since January 1999. Euro Sans has a regular weight that is the same as the official character adopted in Europe. Euro Mono is a condensed version of Euro Sans that is designed to work with monospaced fonts. Euro Serif is useful for settings of serif faces. These Adobe PostScript Type 1 fonts are available in regular, bold, italic, and bold italic variations.

The default set of sounds you get with Quicktime is a bit short on free-reed instruments, and in particular there is no concertina sound. This is a very high quality Sound Font in SF2 format, made from my own baritone Wheatstone English concertina (ca. 1906). It has been compressed with Stuffit, which is not very efficient, as the dedicated packaging programs (SFArk and SFPack) dont yet have Macintosh versions available. Consequently its a very big file - 7.3 Mb in size. You must be using at least version 5 of Quicktime to use it.

To use this file under OS X, unpack it and place the resulting "Concertina.sf2" file in ~/Library/Audio/Sounds/Banks
To use it under Classic systems, place it in System Folder:Extensions:Quicktime Extensions
If you want to use it under both operating systems you can put the file in the OS X location, reboot in OS 9, make an alias of the file and put that in the Quicktime Extensions folder.

You dont have to reboot, or even re-start BarFly. Choose "Add an Instrument" from the Instrument sub-menu. In the Instrument Picker dialog, the Synthesiser popup menu now contains a new synth named "Wheatstone English Concertina". Choose that, then choose one of the three instruments from the Instrument popup.
