It has been tested in a real world accounting and inventory system and was used to collapse multiple scripts that called each other back and forth to complete a task between two databases into a single pair where one script set up all needed variables and the other script simply read the values and performed the required work.
The DSVariables plugin file must be dropped into your FileMaker Extensions folder, and FileMaker must be quit and restarted in order for the variable functions to become available. If you are running FileMaker Server, all the client machines must have the plugin in order for scripts using variables to function normally.
