UNIX Breaks is an AppleScript droplet that will convert a text documents line breaks from Macintosh to UNIX.
This is neccessary for some UNIX servers and PHP.

The author has also includes another script which will list only the JPGs of a certain folder (needs edited to suit local needs).

mlnet is a multi-network P2P client. Previously known as mldonkey, its been the heart inside some other packages, as mlMac and xDonkey.
mlnet core supports Mac OS X, Linux, BSD, Solaris, and Win32.
It works as a core, which can be accesed, managed and controlled via Telnet, Webb (with your favorite browser) or via a graphic interface.

Fortune Cookie is an AppleScript to copy fortunes from the free BSD system into the clipboard or as a signature in Entourage.

It requires a variant of a bsd unix fortune program to be installed to work properly.

Requirements:
Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

The UNIX Permission Calculator lets you convert between different representations of UNIX-style permissions: The numerical style, the textual style and a set of checkboxes as they are often found in FTP applications.

This widget is based on an OSX application I made a while back. The web page also contains a bit of usage information which equally applies to the widget version. The application version is incidentally based on a web based version I made a long long time ago.

unixPath.scpt is a droplet where you can drop one or more files and get their unix path. Quite handy even though you can drop files to the terminal window with the same effect.

Completly freeware.

iFortune displays fortunes in a semi transparent window.

Put it in your login items to receive a fortune when you log in.

Yet another cocoa wrapper for fortune. Slightly cooler than the others ;)
