However, I still receive requests for updates and modifications to the software, so I have resurrected the source and fixed many problems that have been brought to my attention in the last 4 years.
I dont expect that I will move the entire application to Universal Binary. To do so requires a major re-write and this would not seem to be justified, given that the initial reason I wrote the software was to solve networking problems on a platform that had no tools at all. Times have changed.
Thank-you to all of you have contacted me over the years since I first released the initial version (back on MacOS 7.5 from memory). Its a testament to Apple and Metrowerks that the software has survived largely intact since I first released it 1996, has run on 3 vastly different instruction sets (68K, PPC, Intel) and survived the major transitions in the OS that have struck over the years.<<less

The problem I had with most encryption programs is that the resulting output is 8-bit ASCII characters. While this is fine for file-based encryption, its not so good if you want to be able to write down the encrypted result, or pass it along to a friend in an email. Some encryption programs will present the results in HEX which is an improvement, but it results in encrypted messages that are really long. With encryptadoro, the decrypted result consists of lower- and upper-case letters, numbers, periods, and hyphens; all characters that are easy to write and the increase in the encrypted message length is minimized.
encryptadoro makes use of triple DES encryption in CBC mode. The encryption routines were written by Paul Treo and are used here with his permission. To find out more about DES encryption and Pauls implimentaion of it, visit his site.
Enhancements:
- Added the ability to save encrypted results that can be recalled later. Great for saving passwords! While results should still be written down or saved elsewhere as back-up, this is much more convenient than typing them in every time.
- Added messaging to give feedback on when things are working... or not.
- Better support for copying large results onto the clipboard.
- No longer showing the statistics.
- Changed the default size of the widget.
- General UI improvements throughout.

Flickcurl 1.13 is a versatile C library for the Flickr API, handling creating the requests, signing, token management, calling the API, marshalling request parameters and decoding responses. It uses libcurl to call the REST web service and libxml2 to manipulate the XML responses.
Flickcurl supports all of the API (see Flickcurl API coverage for details) including the functions for photo/video uploading, browsing, searching, adding and editing comments, groups, notes, photosets, categories, activity, blogs, favorites, places, tags, machine tags, institutions, pandas and photo/video metadata. It also includes a program flickrdf to turn photo metadata, tags, machine tags and places into an RDF triples description.
Enhancements:
- Added function flickcurl_source_uri_as_photo_id() to get photo IDs from full raw 'farm' image URLs.
- Added command getphotoid to the command-line utility to allow this to be called.
- Added function flickcurl_get_current_request_wait() so applications can know when flickcurl will delay - sleep(2) - in order to let the web service rate limiting work. This allows the application to avoid this and try again later if it desires, rather than have Flickcurl freeze the entire application (if single threaded).
- Use a dynamic buffer size for request URI construction to avoid crashing when dealing with requests with e.g. long lists of of photo IDs that exceeded the "big enough" buffer for a URI.
- After the above problem, reviewed the other fixed buffer sizes in the code and they are all for known fixed uses such as formatting a decimal number (of known size) into a string. None of the remaining ones can be influenced by data passed by API calls.

Asymptote is a powerful descriptive vector graphics language that provides a natural coordinate-based framework for technical drawing. Labels and equations are typeset with LaTeX, for high-quality PostScript output.
A major advantage of Asymptote over other graphics packages is that it is a programming language, nor just a graphics program.

- Full interactive 3D support has been added to Asymptote, with the option ofgenerating and embedding 3D PRC data in PDF files or rendering scenesdirectly with Asymptotes own fast OpenGL-based renderer. The implicitcasts from 3D to 2D objects were removed (in favour of call explicit callsto project). A path[][] texpath(string s) routine was added to convertstring into the paths that TeX would fill. Add boolean stroke parameter wasadded for shading (and clipping to) stroked paths. The Circle and Arcroutines were fixed. Autoscaling of graph axes limits is now disabled bydefault. A path3 path3(path p, triple plane(pair)=XYplane) constructor wasadded; the path3 routines were moved to C++ code. Optimized and robustversions of the intersection, windingnumber, inside, and surface extremaroutines were implemented. The lighting routines were replaced by theOpenGL model. Each Asymptote process once again uses a separatecurrentpen. A segmentation fault and an incorrect parameter in theDelaunay triangulation routine were fixed. This major overhaul of thethree-dimensional graphics has necessitated a few backwardsincompatibilities.
