LFT, short for Layer Four Traceroute, is a sort of traceroute that often works much faster (than the commonly-used Van Jacobson method) and goes through many configurations of packet-filter based firewalls.

More importantly, LFT implements numerous other features including AS number lookups, loose source routing, netblock name lookups, et al. Though LFT has been around since 1998, its development effort has just recently resumed.

XTrace is a small utility that allows you to receive trace() data without having to be in the flash IDE.
XTrace wraps around a custom socket server I wrote in java that will accept connections via XMLSocket on port 9994.
To easily send trace data to the trace server you can use the custom debug class included with the download. After calling debug.initSocket("127.0.0.1"); all data passed to debug.trace() will be send through a socket and given to the trace server.
XTrace will display the data received from the trace server in a floating window as shown below.

Zebra scanner is a simple AS Studio application to trace down trojans. A Trojan refers to a program that appears as something you may think is safe, but hidden inside is usually something harmful. The lure of Trojans is that you may download a game or a picture, thinking its harmless, but once you double-click this file the virus gets to work.
Zebra scanner is intended to search for applications, hidden behind another extension than app . It checks if any of the files in the selected folder(s) has either the real extension .app or the file type APPL. In Mac OS >= 10.3 the program also checks if the item is considered an executable by the OS which can be activated by double-click or otherwise.
The program is meant to be a fast and easy way to retrieve trojan viruses, disguised as an image, MP3, movie, folder etc. thus avoiding that a hidden application can be double clicked by accident and do damage to your Computer. Zebra scanner can also examine classic data.

HostTraceGlue is a Palm OS Emulator that supports a very useful API, HostTrace, which allows applications to send traces to a trace reporting tool like Cocoa Palm Reporter. Unfortunately, the HostTrace API is only available when running on the emulator or simulator. HostTraceGlue fills the gap by providing the same calls than the HostTrace API provides and allowing these calls to output data even when running on a real device.

Instead of calling the HostTraceXXX functions, you just call the HostTraceGlueXXX equivalents in your code, and youre done. To see the traces emitted by your device, youll need to use USB-TCP Bridge (see above) to bridge connections from the handheld to Cocoa Palm Reporter, and Cocoa Palm Reporter (see above) to see the actual traces.

Very easy to integrate in your application, HostTraceGlue is just one C file containing the glue and one header file containing the function prototypes.

What makes LFT unique? Rather than launching UDP probes in an attempt to elicit ICMP TIME_EXCEEDEDs from hosts in the path, LFT accomplishes substantively the same effect using TCP SYN or FIN probes. Then, LFT listens for TIME_EXCEEDED messages, TCP RESET, and various other interesting heuristics from firewalls or other gateways in the path. LFT also distinguishes between TCP-based protocols (source and destination), which make its statistics slightly more realistic, and gives a savvy user the ability to trace protocol routes, not just layer-3 (IP) hops.
