Free total size software for mac

Get Total Time is an AppleScript droplet which displays the total disk usage, number and duration of a folder or collection of music files.
It is able to read any formats which QuickTime supports.
To increase the calculation speed, use SoundApp.

Completly freeware.

Long ago I saw such a tool for Windows users and I thought I could need this myself on my Mac. In case Im missing some GB of disc space I could look which folder growed too much.
So this application was created and it does just this job. You select a folder, wait some minutes and you can browse it to look how big all the folders are.
This application is freeware and provided as is.
Enhancements:
- A lot of faster by using the plugins directory size class instead of RBs functions.

CalculateSizeCM is a contextual menu plugin for Mac OS X. It let you calculate the total size of selected files/folders at the Finder.
CalculateSizeCM can also display the progress information while calculating and let you cancel the operation anytime.
This is OS X port of CalculateSize CMM plugin.
Main features:
- It can calculate the total size of selected folders and files easily.
- It displays the progress information while calculating and let you cancel the operation anytime.
- It displays more detail information like number of files, invisible files, folders, fork sizes...
- If a single or a single volume is selected at the Finder, it shows the file/volume size information directly to the context menu. So its much easier and quicker than Finders Get Info dialog.
Enhancements:
- If a single file or a volume is seleted, the size information is displayed directly on the context menu instead of the Calculate Size... command menu. You can still open the dialog and calculate sizes like before by selecting any of the menu item. (see the screenshot 3 and 4)
- Fixed a bug of displaying more than 100GB size (more than 12 digits).
- Now it displays the size more than 1GB using GB (with decimal 2 digits) instead of big MB number.
- Now abbriviated size (e.g. KB, MB, GB sizes) is displayed first, and followed by the lengthy byte size in parenthes.
- Redesigned the plugin icon.

Total Desktop Rebuild is a free system extension that allows you to completely erase all your desktop files so that they are rebuilt from scratch when the startup process is over. To delete all the desktop files on all your disks, simply hold down the Command and Option keys while Total Desktop Rebuild is loading. A small red flash is then added to the startup icon, and Total Desktop Rebuild attempts to do its job.

Total Desktop Rebuild needs the desktop files to be closed in order to delete them, which may not be the case if some previously loaded extension has opened them. I added a space character before the extension’s name to make it load early, but you might have to further arrange your extensions’ loading order if Total Desktop Rebuild doesn’t seem to work.

Note: Total Desktop Rebuild will completely delete all your file comments.

Total Desktop Rebuild is a power user tool and shouldn’t be used if you don’t know what you are doing

Total Time of Selected Tracks is a small AppleScript that gets the total time of the selected tracks.

Just a short script to give you the total time of the tracks you have selected instead of making a whole new play list to get the total time.
