f/Calc is a small tool designed for Mac OS Classic, from System 7.5 onward. f/Calc is a photographers utility for calculating lens formulæ. Currently available for four platforms: Palm OS, Windows, Unix and Macintosh.

There is no support at all for this version, partly because someone else did the port for me, and partly because even if I did update it, it would be for OS X only anyway. Its more "abandonware" now than "freeware".

The Tcl/Tk version can probably be made to work on Mac OS X, if you dont want to run f/Calc under Classic.

The XML Tools AppleScript Scripting Addition allows AppleScript to parse and generate XML data.

F-Script Anywhere is a tool that lets you embed a F-Script interpreter in any Cocoa application.

You can use F-Script like a debugger, so you can examine your applications objects in a richer environment than GDB or Project Builder permits.

F-Script Anywhere can also be useful for examining applications you didnt write, to isolate bugs or add new features.

Trackplan Tools is a plugin filter for Adobe Illustrator to quickly draw model railroad trackplans.

Kiosk Tools are some simple tools and information which may be useful to anyone running a Macintosh based kiosk or computer lab.

One application disables the use of the shift key at startup (thus preventing the disabling of extensions). The other removes the users ability to drop into the debugger with Command-Escape.

PRC-Tools is a free collection of tools that allows you to create C/C++ Palm OS applications.

Since Metrowerks has dropped Mac support in CodeWarrior for the Palm OS platform on February 2003, "PRC-Tools for OSX" remains at the moment the only Palm OS development environment that runs natively under Mac OS X.

ATTO ExpressPro-Tools is an utility that can be used to configure the host adapter, create partitions, format partitions, and modify mode pages.

A benchmark utility is also included in the package.

Cutting Tools is a set of four tools (Hatchet, Saber Saw, Table Saw and Vector Vac) for cutting and cleaning up paths in Adobe Illustrator.

Hatchet tool: Click to use like the Scissors tool, except that it will cut through all paths at that point, not just the top path. This makes it perfect for cutting two lines where they cross. Hold down the Option key to cut through only selected paths.

Saber Saw tool: Drag the tool to draw a free-form line. When you release the mouse button, the Saber Saw will do a fence cut through all paths that cross the one you drew.

Table Saw tool: Click and drag to create a straight line. When you release the mouse button, the Saber Saw will do a fence cut through all paths that cross the one you drew.

Vector Vac tool: Either click on paths or drag through them to delete them.After cutting, you may drag the tool over the unwanted paths to delete them.

The tools are added to the same set as the Scissors tool. Its recommended that you drag the scissors tool group out of the toolbox so theyre all quickly available in their own floating palette.

VP Tools brings more than 30 VectorWorks tools and commands, now updated to work on VectorWorks 12.

These days Apple includes zip and unzip as part of Mac OS X, (you can use them, for example, when you choose Create Archive when using the contextual menu in the Finder).

Unfortunately, these implementations leave something to be desired. For one, they don t implement things like encryption. Zip will also include resourcefork folders in the archive. Often you will want this, but not always.

I noticed some time ago that there are a lot of machines out there without a copy of the zip and unzip binaries that Apple installs as part of their Developer Tools. As these tools are very useful, and several people, including myself, have written applications or scripts that depend at least in part on this binaries, I decided to try my hand at creating a package.

Zip Tools will install funzip, fzipnote, unzip, unzipsfx, zip, zipcloak, zipgrep, zipinfo and zipsplit on your machine in the /usr/local/bin/ directory, as well as manual pages in the /usr/share/man/man1/ directory. I have decided against either placing the binaries in the same directory as where Apple puts zip and unzip when you install the Developer Tools, or removing these to prevent any problems occurring.

Any possible duplication shouldnt give any problems, and those with the Developer Tools are most likely capable enough of removing the duplicate zip and unzip files.

Zip Tools packages the unmodified versions from Info-ZIP, in a convenient installer. (Note, I didnt make these applications, I just compiled and redistribute them because they can be hard to find.)

These binaries are meant to be used from the Terminal and include no GUI, let alone an Aqua one.

Whats New in This Release:

· Version 1.1 now has an installer that works under OS X 10.4.
· It also includes new versions from zip (2.32) and unzip (5.52) .

Iridium is a theme that whitens metal and applies a unified menu bar look to all applications (including Carbon applications). iTunes is skinned as well.

Iridium now has its own installer, no other software is required. (No ThemeChanger or ShapeShifter at all!)

Teaching Tools was created to help those in the Christian ministry with the development of their content for classes, weekly messages, etc.

Currently it supports the creation of Homiletics worksheets, which are is a methodology for understanding Gods Word, and developing a method for teaching a particular passage.

The Finder Tools package contains 7 scripts to help automate the following: Activate/Hide Apps, Close All Windows, Close Win/Hide Apps, Duplicate Files, Duplicate Folders, Open Folders and Unmount/Eject All disks. Descriptions of the scripts are included.

The package is completly freeware for personal use.

Text Tools is a OSAX that adds commands that allow you to use some Toolbox routines in the Mac OS.
The most commands won t require special skills, except for two commands that get variables of Script Manager.

Twitter Tools is a nice plugin that creates an integration between your WordPress blog and your Twitter account.

Pull your tweets into your blog and create new tweets on blog posts and from within WordPress.

Here are some key features of "Twitter Tools":

The SMS Server Tools is a SMS Gateway software which can send and receive short messages through GSM modems and mobile phones.

You will be able to send short messages by simply storing text files into a special spool directory. SMS Server Tools monitors this directory and sends new files automatically. It also stores received short messages into another directory as text files.

Binary messages (including Unicode text) are also supported, for example ring tone messages. Its also possible to send a WAP Push message to the WAP / MMS capable mobile phone.

SMS Server Tools can be run as a SMS daemon which can be started automatically when the operating system starts. High availability can be ensured by using multiple GSM devices (currently up to 64, this limit is easily changeable).

SMS Server Tools can run other external programs or scripts after events like reception of a new message, successful sending and also when the program detects a problem. These programs can inspect the related text files and perform automatic actions, for example storing information into a database (for example MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server), sending an automatic reply, forwarding messages via eMail (SMS to eMail gateway), ... and whatever you like.

The SMS Server Tools runs on Microsoft Windows (with CygWin) and any Unix including Solaris, BSD, FreeBSD and Linux. This software needs a GSM modem (or mobile phone) with SMS command set according to the european specifications GSM 07.05 (=ETSI TS 300 585) and GSM 03.38 (=ETSI TS 100 900). AT command set is supported. Devices can be connected with serial port, infrared or USB.
