Google Contacts for Thunderbird 0.5.55
Google Contacts for Thunderbird is the brilliant Thunderbird add-on that enables Thunderbird to access and manage Gmail contacts. more>>
Google Contacts for Thunderbird 0.5.55 is the brilliant Thunderbird add-on that enables Thunderbird to access and manage Gmail contacts. After you installed the add-on, all contacts are imported to Thunderbird's address books; contacts in Gmail are mapped to cards and contact groups are mapped to mail lists. When you changes the cards or mail lists, the changes applied to Gmail contacts immediately; it is similar to the way IMAP updates messages properties. Please note that it works only when you are at online.
Before you use the add-on, you have to set up Gmail account in Thunderbird. So, if you have not set up it yet, please do it first. If you are going to set up Gmail IMAP access, my another add-on, Gmail IMAP Account Setup will help you. After the account setup was done, download Google Contacts and install it to Thunderbird then restart Thunderbird.
The add-on detects Gmail accounts and retrieve their contacts. Account names and passwords are searched in a password mamanger if you save passwords to it; if you not, it asks you passwords. Your contacts are imported to the address books which are named by Google-accountname manner. For example, contacts of sample@gmail.com is imported to Gmail-sample@gmail.com. It is OK to change the name after the synchronization, it is just a default name. When you add a card to the address book, the card is added to contacts of sample@gmail.com immediately. It works for deletion/modification of cards/lists as well.

Toggle Word Wrap for Thunderbird 1.3
Toggle Word Wrap for Thunderbird is a firefox extension. more>>
Toggle Word Wrap for Thunderbird 1.3 is a firefox extension. With Thunderbird, it comes in handy when inserting long text lines which should not get wrapped in the final message (such as log file entries, or diffs inserted into the message body).
It only has an effect when using plain text mode for composition - this is a per-account setting which must be configured by disabling "Composition & Addressing" -> "Composition" -> "Compose messages in HTML format".
Major Features:
- Unchecking "Enable Word Wrap" in the Options menu (or pressing the keyboard shortcut) will temporarily turn off word wrapping for the current message - lines will take up the whole width of the composer window, and no line breaks will get added to the outgoing message (with the exception of "hard" line breaks inserted manually).
- Checking "Enable Word Wrap" will enable word wrapping again and set it to the width specified in the standard settings ("Wrap plain text messages at", default is 72 characters).
- For Firefox, checking "Word Wrap Within PRE" in the View menu will temporarily enable word wrapping for PRE tags in the current document (by adding a CSS rule to the HEAD element). Unchecking the menu entry will revert the document to the previous state (no word wrapping). The following page can be used to see the effect, e.g.: http://users.tkk.fi/~tkarvine/pre-static-no-css.html
- Releases 1.0 and later are provided as a signed XPI file. The signature will successfully verify if the "Builtin Roots Module" is enabled in its standard configuration. Errors like "could not install the file ... because: Signing could not be verified" indicate that either the XPI file has been tampered with or the trust settings of the built-in certification authorities have been tweaked. (In the latter case, I assume that you're also savvy enough to figure out what trust anchor needs to be re-enabled in order to make the verification succeed again... or how to rip the signature out of the file, otherwise ;-)
- Update usage of "-moz-pre-wrap"/"pre-wrap" for Firefox 3.5
- Cchange Firefox keyboard shortcut to Ctrl+Shift+O
- Bump maxVersions

FoxyProxy for Thunderbird 2.13
FoxyProxy for Thunderbird provides you with a powerful and open-source advanced, yet free proxy management tool which can replace Firefoxs limited proxying capabilities. more>>
FoxyProxy for Thunderbird 2.13 provides you with a powerful and open-source advanced, yet free proxy management tool which can replace Firefox's limited proxying capabilities. It automatically switches an internet connection across one or more proxy servers based on URL and IP patterns.
Put simply, FoxyProxy automates the manual process of editing Firefox's Connection Settings dialog. Proxy server switching occurs based on the loading URL and the switching rules you define. Animated icons show you when a proxy is in use. Advanced logging shows you which proxies were used and when. QuickAdd makes it a snap to create new URL patterns on-the-fly. FoxyProxy is fully compatible with Portable Firefox, has better support for PAC files than Firefox itself, and is translated into more than 25 languages.
Major Features:
- Animated statusbar/toolbar icons show you when a proxy is in use
- Define multiple proxies
- Define which proxy to use (or none!) for arbitrary URLs using wildcards, regular expressions, whitelists, blacklists, and other conveniences
- No more wondering whether a URL loaded through a proxy or not: FoxyProxy optionally logs all URLs, including which proxy was used (if any), which pattern was matched, timestamps, etc.
- Out-of-the-box support for Tor with the unique Tor Wizard - zero configuration!
- Temporarily or permanently dedicate all URLs to go through a particular proxy
- Temporarily or permanently disable use of a proxy
- Automatically add blocked sites to a proxy and have them reload through the proxy
- Optional status bar information about which proxy is currently in use
- Complete Proxy Auto-Config (PAC) support
- Download a link using one of your defined proxies with a simple right-click (coming soon)
- Unobtrusive presence, stable execution, premier support
- Optionally force Firefox to perform DNS lookups through a SOCKS4a/5 server. Note that Firefox without FoxyProxy always performs DNS lookups through a SOCKS5 server if you've defined one. Only with FoxyProxy can you instruct Firefox to not use defined SOCKS5 servers for DNS lookups.
