Some video cameras are capable of shooting in 16x9 (widescreen) format rather than the standard TV format of 4x3. Such cameras usually stretch the data to the full 4x3 rectangle in order to maximize the vertical resolution of the stored video.
When handling this data, iMovie performs no interpretation of the data; i.e., iMovie presents the 16x9 data in a 4x3 rectangle.
This effects filter is designed to efficiently and cleanly squeeze that data into the correct aspect ratio, 16x9, accompanied by the usual letterbox bars.
The implementation performs either linear or bicubic interpolation on interlaced or progressive frames. It also utilizes AltiVec (Velocity Engine), if available, so this code also contains a demonstration of vectorized code.

This is primarily useful if you need to sync with a device that Meetingmaker doesn't sync to, basically something other than a Palm. So, if you've got a Bluetooth phone, an iPod, or other device that works with iSync, this can help greatly. Scheduling is one way only (no way to feed back into Meetingmaker, and its a manual process, but its better than nothing.

Move to iTunes 1.1r2 is a tool to transfer audio and video files dropped onto it to your iTunes library. When the original files are on your hard drive, this happens nearly instantly, even for massive video files, and leaves no duplicate files on the drive. In the case of video files, it also sets them to resume where you left off, and so they will not play during shuffle play.
Why? The primary use of this is to add DVD movies Ive converted for my iPod with Handbrake to iTunes, without having to wait a long time for them to copy, without having to manually trash the duplicate original, and without having to manually set the "Remember playback position" and "Skip when shuffling" options every time.
Enhancements:
- corrected confusing (and incorrect!) use of the term "Automator Action" - it is now referred to as a "Finder Automator plugin". The plugin installer and uninstaller were changed to reflect this.

- Version 1.1r2 of Move to iTunes has been tested with iTunes 7.0.1 and Mac OS X 10.4.8 - it may work with earlier versions, but that has not been tested.
