Need to know the time in different parts of the world? Time Map is an OS X Dashboard Widget that overlays city locations on a world map. All you have to do is select a city and it will show you the current time in that particular location and also tells you at a glance whether its day or night anywhere in the world.

Instead, it uses the document's file extension (as set in the Internet control panel) to control which application is used to open the document.So, for example, if you had a file mapping in the Internet control panel for ".jpg" files which was set to PictureViewer, all files with a ".jpg" extension opened by the Finder, regardless of their real creator type, will be opened by PictureViewer.

Then it downloads the weather maps for your region. It creates a folder on your desktop called Weather to store the maps.
It then creates a sub folder for that download labeled with the date. It stores the maps for the day in that folder. "Weather Map" will ask you if you would like to keep the maps. If you dont want to save the maps, "Weather Map" will delete them for you.

This is where the Port Map application will come in handy. Originally written as a proof of concept, Port Map is a fully featured all-purpose port mapper supporting all major routers, with presets and URL templates.

- fixed an issue with AVM routers that caused generation of too many and stale UPNP mappings
- fixed an issue with NAT-PMP and the current Airport Extreme Base stations that caused external IP changes not to be noticed
- fixed an issue that caused TCMPortMapper to not recognize global network changes if it was started while no network was connected
- fixed a crashing issue appearing with certain setups where UPNP devices have been discovered that inevitably lead to miniwget crashes due to missing content
- fixed too eager error reporting in case of system wake up by increasing the interval of the refresh after wake up from 1.0 to 2.0 seconds
- fixed reporting of "Router incompatible." in the case of an Apple Airport and not DSL or other network connection. Now correctly "No external Address." is displayed but mappings still can be setup to be active when the device goes online again.
- fixed an issue where quickly turning NAT-PMP port mappings on and off raised an exception instead of updating the mapping.
- fixed an issue where choosing multiple UPNP port mappings for deletion did sometimes disable the remove button.
- improved long time running UPNP setups by decreasing the regular refresh interval

Get Traffic Map 1.0 is one of the most advantageous tools to figure out how bad your commutes would tend to be.
The solution: An AppleScript that opens a Google Map centered on the Bay Area with the traffic information layer turned on. It then takes a screenshot and saves it in the "Traffic" folder on the desktop, with the date and time as part of the file name. Finally, it opens the screenshot in Graphic Converter and crops it so just the map is visible.
This script runs every 15 minutes from 7-9am and 4-6pm on weekdays using the following cron command: 0,15,30,45 7,8,16,17 * * 1-5 /usr/bin/osascript /Users/ian/Desktop/Traffic/GetTrafficMap.scpt
