pyTivoX 1.3 is created to help users easily and conveniently transfer your media files from your mac to your tivo. It is a free replacement for the upload feature of Tivo Desktop Plus. (Look at iTiVo for the download features). pyTiVoX only runs on OSX 10.5 (Leopard) and up. It is aimed at users of Series 2, Series 3, and TivoHD machines.

Usage:

• Run the program
• Click the little 'plus' icon on the bottom, and select a directory containing files to share.
• Input a name to share as, and make sure the right type is selected (video, photo, etc).
• Add more shares if desired.
• Click the 'Apply' button.
• Go to your tivo, and check the bottom of the 'now playing' list.
• If you prefer streaming (on tivo 3 /HD) check the bottom of the music,photos,showcases list.

Requirements:

• Mac OSX 10.5 (Leopard) and up.

This combination of scripts allows you to set up a Podcast of Tivo recodings. You configure which channels you are interested in, typically digital radio channels but potentially also music TV channels where you dont care about the video, then schedule the radioFTP script and it will handle transfer and conversion of radio programmes to MP3 for you. Finally, you subscribe to a podcast of those programmes as generated by the tivoPodcast script. Full instructions are included in the downloads README.

Note: This tool is for personal use only, and is intended to facilitate time-shifting similarly to using a VCR. It is not for any other purpose, and you are politely reminded to abide by your jurisdictions copyright laws.

TivoTool allows you to download, stream, or burn videos from your Series 1 or 2 Tivo or DTivo. It is a front-end tool (perl script) and GUI ( for OS X 10.4) to pull MPEG2 files (.ty unscrambled) off of Tivo (via vserver hack) for playing in QuickTime 7 with the MPEG2 plug-in.
You need vserver running on your TiVo for TiVoTool to work. vserver can be found at the main download page (http://tivotool.com/down/down.html).
Enhancements:
- iTunes library folder now auto-detected for those with non-standard locations.
- Standalone MP4 download added.
- Mplex preferences added. This should help with HDTivo compatibility.
- Optional audio frequency transcode now applies to .vob files.
- Convert to 48khz also flattens to 2ch
- hdemux updated to 0.13. It is now the suggested demuxing engine.
- Other bugfixes and GUI cleanups.

Requirements: Mac OS X 10.4 or later.

TiVoDecode Manager (TDM) is an Applescript Studio front-end (i.e. "wrapper") that automates the process of downloading of TiVo Series 2 files to your computer and decoding into MPEG-2 files. It is not made for Series 1 (ever) or Series 3.
