If you have a massive amount of ID3 tags to update in a playlist, and have the tags in a text file, create a tab delimited text file with the tracks ID3 tags and use this script to place the tags into the frontmost playlist in SoundJam MP (you can modify the script to work with iTunes).
Text File to SJ ID3tags is a small AppleScript that will update ID3 tags from an external text file using soundJam.
Enhancements:
- Allows you to choose the tags arrangement (and which tags to be used).

Drag and drop scripts (or folders full of scripts) on the Save Scripts as Text Files applet, choose a destination folder, and this script will save all of your compiled scripts as AppleScript text files in the destination folder.

The text files will have the same modification dates as the original compiled scripts. Unfortunately, this only works with editable compiled scripts and not script applications. This is a great way to archive and protect your precious source code.

Decompile AppleScripts to Text Files can be used as a droplet. Save it as an application with your script editor, and drag applescript applications or compiled scripts, or folders of applescript applications or compiled scripts onto its icon to create a hierarchical backup of them saved in text format with the name extension "applescript" in a folder called "Script_backups" in the same folder as the items you drag.

Decompile AppleScripts to Text Files does exactly what its name says.

The scripts to be backed up must be named with either the "scpt" or "app" name extensions. If any of the items you drag contain applications other than Applescript applications, they will be ignored.

If a dropped Applescript application is in bundle (package) format, the entire hierarchy of the application will be created from the package folder down to its applescript file in the Scripts folder of the package which will be saved in text format with the name extension "applescript". The backed up version will still appear as an application in the Finder, but will not work, and youll have to use the "Show Package Contents" command to get to the text version of the script in the Finder.

If two scripts having the same name, one ending with the "scpt" name extension, and the other ending with the "app" name extension, they will both be saved, the latter of the two retaining the original name extension and the "applescript" name extension.

Text Tools is a OSAX that adds commands that allow you to use some Toolbox routines in the Mac OS.
The most commands won’t require special skills, except for two commands that get variables of Script Manager.

Text Sucker is a utility (saved as an AppleScript droplet) for extracting the text from QuarkXPress documents. As its name implies, it requires QuarkXPress version 4.11.

Just drag-and-drop one or more XPress files on to Text Suckers icon, and you will be given the opportunity to change some preferences (see below).

Text Sucker will then open and copy the text from each file one at a time, and save it in a text file.

TEXT SEARCH searches for occurrances of a given word or phrase in text files of a folder and all nested folders, then displays the results as hotlinks in a Safari window, sorted by number of hits per file in descending order.

If the file is of a type that Safari can render, then the file will be displayed in Safari. Otherwise, Safari prompts Finder to display the file.
