TestDisk & PhotoRec (OS X) 6.3
Download a bundle for data and photos recovery from lost partitions and drives on your Mac. more>>
TestDisk & PhotoRec (OS X) 6.3 is developed to be a powerful application which can help you restore and undelete lost files. It was primarily designed to help recover lost partitions and/or make non-booting disks bootable again when these symptoms are caused by faulty software, certain types of viruses or human error (such as accidentally erasing your Partition Table). PhotoRec is file data recovery software designed to recover lost pictures or lost files from digital camera memory (CompactFlash, Memory Stick, SecureDigital, SmartMedia, Microdrive, MMC, USB Memory Drives), even Hard Disks and CDRom.
PhotoRec is safe to use, it will never attempt to write to the drive or memory support you are about to recover from. Recovered files are instead written in the directory from where you are running the PhotoRec program.
Enhancements: Includes unspecified updates.

SymmetricDS 1.6.3
Platform-independent, web-enabled, and database-agnostic data synchronization/replication solution more>> Platform-independent, web-enabled, and database-agnostic data synchronization/replication solution
SymmetricDS is web-enabled, database independent, data synchronization/replication software. It uses web and database technologies to replicate tables between relational databases in near real time.
The software was designed to scale for a large number of databases, work across low-bandwidth connections, and withstand periods of network outage.
By using database triggers, SymmetricDS guarantees that data changes are captured and atomicity is preserved.
Support for database vendors is provided through a Database Dialect layer, with implementations for MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, HSQLDB, Oracle, and Apache Derby included.
Synchronization can be configured to push data (trickle-back) or pull data (trickle-poll) at an interval. SymmetricDS allows for 2-tier and even n-tier synchronization, such as the following:
- A farm of web server nodes fronting an enterprise-class general office database
- A handful of regional servers for synchronizing from the general office to remote geographical areas
- 1000(s) of store server nodes using a departmental class database to sync with a regional node
- 10(s) of Point of Sale (POS) register nodes using an embedded database to sync with a store server
Deployment options include the following:
- Web application archive (WAR) deployed to an application server such as Tomcat, Jetty, or JBoss
- Standalone service
- Embedded in an application
Main features:
- Data Channels - Table synchronizations are grouped into independent channels
- Guaranteed Delivery - Synchronized data is guaranteed to arrive at the target destination. If a synchronization fails, the same batch of data will be retried until it succeeds or manual intervention is taken. All other data synchronization is halted for the failed channel only.
- Transaction Aware - Data updates are recorded and replayed with the same atomicity
- Centralized Configuration - All configuration is downloaded from a central registration server
- Multiple Deployment Options - Standalone engine, web application, embedded software component
- Data Filtering and Rerouting - Allows for localized passwords and sensitive data filtering/routing
- HTTP Transport - Pluggable transport defaults to Representation State Transfer (REST-style) HTTP services
- Payload Compression - Optionally compresses data on transport
- Notification Schemes - Push (trickle-back data) or Pull (trickle-poll data) changes
- Symmetric Data Protocol - A fast streaming data format that is easy to generate, parse, and load
- Plug-In API - Add customizations through extensions and plug-in points
- Two-Way Table Synchronization - The same table can be synchronized both to and from the host system while avoiding update loops
- Database Versioning - Specify data synchronization by version of target database
- Auto Database Creation - Optionally allow creating and upgrading of database schema
- Embeddable - Small enough to embed or bootstrap within another application (i.e. a POS application)
- Multiple Schemas - Supports multiple database schemas naturally through the existence of Data Channels
- Primary Key Updates - Captures the "before" and "after" data being changed, allowing updates to primary key data
- Remote Management - Administration through a Java Management Extensions (JMX) console
- Remote Database Administration - SQL can be delivered and run at remote databases via the synchronization infrastructure
- Initial Data Load - Prepare the satellite database with an initial or recovery load of data

Porticus 1.6.3
GUI for the MacPorts open source packaging system. more>>
Porticus 1.6.3 is a mighty efficacious Cocoa GUI for the MacPorts package manager which provides ready to build open-source software packages modified to compile and run on Mac OS X. The MacPorts project provides a TCL command line tool to manage installation, update and activation of the port packages. Porticus provides a GUI front-end to this tool.
Porticus does a little more than this by providing a GUI with standard Mac OS X application features such as a search box to find a specific port, contextual menus, tree and table views to select and view port information by category or name. In addition it provides integration with Growl for status reporting.

SyncDocs 0.6.3
SyncDocs is a perfect and powerful program which provides a simple point-and-click drag-and-drop HTTP server for transferring files between computers, or especially to applications on an iPhone. more>>
SyncDocs 0.6.3 is a perfect and powerful program which provides a simple point-and-click drag-and-drop HTTP server for transferring files between computers, or especially to applications on an iPhone.
No DNS or IP settings are required. The operating system on these devices isolates each application into its own space. However, there is no easy way to transfer files into the application's space on these devices. SyncDocs solves this problem by providing a free and open source Java application that will run on any platform with Java support. It's packaged in a JAR file and needs no installation.
Drag and drop files that you would like to sync into the list, and SyncDocs provides these files by making them available as a web server. To handle multiple applications, each application asks for the file type that it wants, and SyncDocs provides a list of only those files.
Major Features:
- SyncDocs uses the Bonjour service discovery protocol.
- SyncDocs is intended as a solution for synchronizing files to and from multiple applications on an iPhone or iPod Touch.
ResPloder 1.6.3
ResPloder explodes a Macintosh file into a folder more>>
ResPloder can also implode a folder back into the original file.
Inside each folder are files containing the data for each resource of that type. For example, if a file containing PICT resources were exploded with ResPloder, then the exploded folder would contain a folder called PICT and inside that folder would be one file for every PICT resource in the original file.
Drop a ResPloder-created folder onto ResPloder and type a new file name when prompted. A new file with exactly the same structure as the original file will be created.
