Terminal Pal is a handy assistant to your Terminal application. It allows you to directly execute .term files from an always-available menu without requiring you to switch to the Terminal first.

If you regularly telnet or ssh or FTP to several servers, Terminal Pal is a great helper.

Black on white is so boring! Apples Terminal program allows you many choices of color & font. But coming up with a color scheme that is usable takes quite a bit of time. So, I hope these Terminal windows (yellow on black, yellow on blue, lavendar on purple, and mint on teal) will make your UNIX excursions more enjoyable. Freeware.

Term for is a scripting addition that looks up the user terminology for a value. Useful for example to get month and day-of-week names of a date.

The addition builds the source of an AppleScript script containing what you pass in. Although it looks like you can pass in a variety of things, what actually arrives is either four or 8 bytes, which the addition treats as a string.

Note that this Scripting Addition is not necessary if you have Script Debugger, since you can write a script which uses Script Debugger to build and compile the necessary script, and dig the term out of the re-written script or the result of running the script.

Exymen aims towards being a universal cross platform multimedia editor. The aim is to have one application capable of editing all kinds of media content, including sound, video, slide presentations and white board content.

The vision shall become true by many developers using Exymen as a rapid prototyping tool for new media formats and codecs on the one side, and by many users using Exymen as a free tool for editing media content on the other side. Exymens source code is therefore released under the terms and conditions of the GNU Library General Public License.

Exymen bases on a diploma thesis of computer science (German equivalent of a Master of Science thesis). The goal was to create a Java based editing tool for web-streaming lectures produced with the E-Chalk System. The original task was to design a uniform GUI for the editor and to define data structures capable of handling all different content types in E-Chalk lectures, which include sound, video, board content and slide show events.

The author then generalized the problem by providing abstract data structures that allow handling all kind of time based media. Exymen has an open API, enabling developers to write plugins that fill the abstract data structures with different types of formatted content. Exymen has a powerful and dynamic plugin managing mechanism based on the OSGi standard.
