TempFolderViewer 1.0
TempFolderViewer - View and delete temporary files more>>
Working with TempFileViewer is straightforward. As you open the application, a finder-window shows all files in the TemporaryFolder.
You can select the files and use the following menus:
Edit:Delete (command-D) Deletes the selected files. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone!
Edit:Move to Trash (command-T) Moves the selected files, where you can delete them later.
Edit:Move to folder... Displays a dialog where you want to move the selected files
and moves them to your selected folder.
If the files where invisible before, they are visible after moving.
For testing purposes, you can also drag files from and to the TemporaryFolder. However, this feature does not work on all kind of files.
Caution: Be aware that temporary files may still be used by other applications. If other applications are open and have temporary files, they either successfully inhibit TempFolderViewer from deleting or they may crash. Also, the system may have some temporary files you may not be able to delete. The best is to use TempFolderViewer when no other application is open.

<<lessiPhoto: exports as zip 1.0
iPhoto: exports as zip - Export iPhoto library as zip archive more>>
Image files are not copied in a temporary folder but compressed "on the fly" and added to the selected archive file. If this file already exists, it is not replaced, as the standard dialog messages can suggest, but modified to add current images to the archive. This allows to build an archive in several successive runs.
If you see the error "The "zip" command is not installed.", it is probably because you need to install the "BSD.pkg" package. It is installed by default, while optional and thus can be missing on your system. It is on OS X CDs.

DownloadStory 1.4

DownloadStory 1.4 is known as a useful application that is created to help facilitate downloading all of a fanfiction story off of any of the biggest fanfiction websites. Once downloaded, the entire story is available even when you are offline - great for installing on an iPhone to read on the go, or on your laptop on airplane trips.
DownloadStory currently supports the following websites:
- FanFiction.net
- FanFicAuthors.net
- Portkey.org
- Sugarquill.net
- Checkmated.com
- PhoenixSong.net
- FictionAlley.org
- siye.co.uk
- Ficwad.com
- Kinsfire.net
- chrisfoxx.com
- zzstudios.com
- squidge.org/~peja/
- crvboy.org
Once you provide the web page address of the beginning of the story (the first chapter always works, and I try to support index pages as well), then the software will download each chapter in the background, saving the files into a temporary folder created on your desktop. While this is going on you can do anything else you want. Once the software has downloaded all of the chapters, it combines all of the them together into your preference of a html or text file. Finally it takes that compiled document and puts it in a folder called "New Stories" on your desktop.
Enhancements:
- This update is a direct result of a paid feature request:
- Now correctly displays smart quotes, apostrophes, etc., on FanFiction.net
- Now displays the correct story title in Stanza
- Now supports crvboy.org
- Updated to support new type of chapter links at checkmated.com
- Added additional error catching
LeopardAssist 2.3
Install Mac OS X Leopard on any system that doesnt match up with the 867mhz CPU requirements. more>> Install Mac OS X Leopard on any system that doesnt match up with the 867mhz CPU requirements.
Install Mac OS X Leopard on any system that doesnt quite match up with the 867mhz CPU requirements without hassle. No CPU upgrades, no DVD hacking, just a simple one-time-use tool.
LeopardAssist works by using a temporary Open Firmware "trick", changing the reported CPU speed to 867mhz and starts the installer from CD.
In technical terms, the application writes a file, "boot.txt" to the root directory of the hard disk, and configures the NVRAM (PRAM) to boot from it. On restart, Open Firmware reads the file which contains instructions to change the reported CPU speed, switches to CD or DVD and boots from it, where the Leopard installer takes over.
This simple trick means you dont have to modify your DVD to install Leopard. Finally, when installation is done or when installation is ready to reboot, you simply flash the PRAM back to restore the original CPU speed and restore booting from the hard disk.
NOTES:
- All effects of LeopardAssist are 100% reversible by simply, as always, flashing the PRAM to return to a previous state by holding down Command (Apple) + Option + P + R and restarting the machine until you hear the second chime.
- The users are strongly encouraged to exercise caution in using this and it is at your own risk.
Enhancements:
- Now supports additional systems (including the PowerBook G4 series).
- Auto-Detects number of System Processors.
- Removes faulty RAM check code.
- Minor improvements to Error Reporter.

Uptowner 1.7
Uptowner is a powerful and splendid tool which provides a user with administrative privileges to temporarily become the owner of a file and its enclosing folder. It temporarily promotes you up to owner, hence the name Uptowner. more>> Uptowner 1.7 is a powerful and splendid tool which provides a user with administrative privileges to temporarily become the owner of a file and its enclosing folder. It temporarily promotes you "up to owner", hence the name Uptowner.
A fairly safe file to play with might be one of the .log files in /private/var/log. To go there, just choose "Go to Folder..." from the Go menu and type in "/private/var/log". Drag a file onto the TextEdit applications icon to open it. Make a change such as typing a space then pressing the delete key once and try to save it. If you cant, which is likely, you can use Uptowner.
While the file is still open in TextEdit, drag the files icon to the Uptowner application icon or its Dock icon if its already running. Enter your administrative password (you must be logged in with administrative privileges to use Uptowner). Click "Become temporary owner" then OK the warning message if you're brave enough, and go back to TextEdit.
You should now be able to change and save the file. Uptowner will wait for you to tell it that you're ready for the original ownership to be restored for the item you selected. Go back to Uptowner and click OK again and everything is set back the way it was and you'll no longer be able to change and save the file in TextEdit, unless you use Uptowner again.
Enhancements: Compatible with Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later)
Requirements: Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later.

Makarra 1.0b3
Makarra is the ultimate font manager more>>
In Makarras jargon, "forever" means "the font is in your user fonts folder, so the font will be active this session, and the next, and the next, until you remove it from there". And "temporary" means "font is not copied nowhere, and it will remain active only until you restart or logout or reboot or...".
If you open Makarra, youll se three lists:
- User Fonts: fonts at your user folder. If you drop files/folders here, all fonts will be copied there.
- Temporary Fonts: fonts active only the current session. These fonts are activated on-the-fly and will be deactivated next time you log-out/restart.
- Deactivated Fonts: here are stored file paths of every font file youve deactivated. You can activate them again.
Also, youll find some buttons:
- Add... (near to User Fonts): click to choose font to activate "forever".
- Deactivate (near to User Fonts): click to deactivate selected font/s.
- Manage Inactive: When you deactivate a User Font, this is moved to a folder called "deleted fonts", located at Makarras folder. You can re-activate these fonts.
- Add... (near to Temporary Fonts): click to choose font to activate until next session.
- Deactivate (near to Temporary Fonts): click to deactivate selected font/s. These items go down to "Deactivated Fonts", where you can activate them again.
- Activate Temporary: self-explaining.
- Activate Forever: self-explaining (to User Fonts).
- Remove: from database.
