Synchronize Folders 0.6.1 offers you an easy way to synchronize the contents. Files with the same name are compared, and if they differ, the user has to decide what to do with them, either one at a time or by selecting a default action. Folders contained within the user-selected folders are synchronized recursively. Wrote this program in order to be able to create simple backups and to accomplish mirroring of my USB keychain drive.

Synchronize! Files are copied at the maximum speed possible, using pre-emptive multitasking to full advantage. It makes bootable backups of OS X system disks, without logging in as 'root'. "Fast scan" makes updating a bootable backup incredibly quick, and real-time folder watching starts backups when files are changed. Old files can be archived rather than deleted. The status of backups can be monitored and accessed from any web browser and email can be sent when backups happen, don't happen or have errors.

Synchronize! X Plus will backup your personal data to another disk, so that it is safe. It can sync your home folder with a file server, or your PowerBook, or a FireWire disk, so that the newest files are in both locations.
