Free swap artist and song name 1.0 software for mac

So Im going through my library, and notice quite a few albums which have the Artist and Song Name reversed.

So I wrote this little script to, well, fix that. I dont know how prevalent this problem is (I have quite a few CDs ripped ages ago when CDDB was even less organized) but thought others might find it of value.

Swap Artist and Song Name is a small AppleScript that swaps the artist and song name for selected tracks.

Change Disk Name to Song Name is a small AppleScript that changes the file name of an MP3 file to the iTunes song name in the iTunes catalog so that they remain consistent (you only have to do the edit maintenance in one place).

The script changes the disk file name(s) to "song-name".mp3. A one line change in the script changes the name to "artist - song.name".mp3 and/or drops the extension.

The script handles duplicate names and missing disk files. Place this in your /users/name/Library/iTunes/Scripts folder which is where you install the script set Apple provides on their site.

This small application allows you to create playlists for every artist either in your
whole iTunes library or in a selected playlist.

The initial inspiration for this icon set is the song "The Artist" by Big Rude Jake (Bio: http://www.maplemusic.com/artists/brj/bio.asp). If you have heard the song I think youll draw a connection, though I have tried to avoid offending anyone and have excluded any drawings depicting religious objects.

When I was 4 or 5 years old my family spent the night at my grandmother and grandfathers house, which was a cottage in a pine tree forest near Hanover, Ontario. Sometime that night I woke up and my gaze fell on the night sky outside the bedroom window. I remember clearly seeing a shooting star briefly arc above the pine trees and then I fell back to sleep.

The "shooting star" icon is composed from that personal memory.

Say-iTunes reads album, artist, song name or genre from iTunes listings using the 12 different Apple OS integrated voices at any time the song is playing.

During the period Say-iTunes speaks, the music is gently tuned down.

iTunes Statistician is a simple utility that allows you to see statistics about your iTunes listening habits.
It will show you your most played song, artist, album and genre, as well as how many songs, and how much time, you have listened to.

iTunes Capitalizer is a Applescript driven by Perl to quickly capitalize each word in a selection of iTunes music. For example:
"a song like this" would become "A Song Like This" (Capitalize)
"A Song Like This" would become "a song like this" (Lowercase)
"a song like this" would become "A SONG LIKE THIS" (Uppercase)
Processing songs by Name, Artist, Album, and Genre all at once is achievable as well as individually.
This script comes with an installer to make sure that it goes in the right place on your system. Older copies will automatically be updated as well.
