Free sudoku software for mac

SudokuX 1.0 is described as an effective Sudoku freeware which enables three playing modes: edition mode, simple mode and full mode (with annotations).

GT Sudoku is a great dashboard widget that follows the following rules:
- Fill in all the squares with 1 - 9.
- The numbers in a row or column 0r 3x3 small group (surrounded by thick lines) must not repeat.
- When there is a greater than sign (>) between two blocks, the numbers on the two blocks must obey the sign.

nsSudoku can be a nice helper to keep track of things when pencil-and-paper becomes too confusing. I stopped short of providing a complete solution because a) what would be the point (it is not interesting that a computer can easily solve these things by brute force!) and b) there is a nice Sudoku solver out there for the Mac called Sudoku Susser which does that and much more usefully shows and explains the strategies applied at each step of the solution.

SudokuDan is a free Macintosh Sudoku program. It can generate puzzles and puzzle books. It can solve puzzles you get from elsewhere.
SudokuDan can give you meaningful hints as you are solving a puzzle based on your progress so far.

- Fixed a compatibility issue with saving and reading files in versions of Mac OS X before 10.4.
- The program would get confused and stop because a new way of handling data does not exist in the older systems.
