Mario Shell Defense 2.0
Mario Shell Defense offers you a very interesting game in which you play as Mario, whos desperately trying to defend himself against an onslaught of Koopa shells! more>>
Mario Shell Defense 2.0 offers you a very interesting game in which you play as Mario, who's desperately trying to defend himself against an onslaught of Koopa shells! Use the left/right arrow keys to run, the space bar to jump, and the "e" button to shoot fireballs! Shoot fireballs at the shells to destroy them.
If you get hit by a shell, it's game over. Only tested on Win XP so far, but as far as I know it's cross-platform compatible. Please leave your comments and criticism, and feel free to poke around through the code and comment on how I could be doing things better.
Enhancements:
- Added in this version: Mario is now animated, and can jump on shells to destroy them and get points!
- Fixed: File name issues that caused errors in Linux and Mac OS. Also tweaked some code to fix errors for Linux users.
- To do: Maybe give Mario a health bar? Perhaps make him shrink when hit the first time, then dying after the second hit (like the original Mario platformers). I'm just sort of winging this, since this project is really just a learning experience for me. Suggestions welcome!

Gun Self Defense Counter 3.1
Counts how many times guns have been used in self-defense since January 1 of the current year. more>> Counts how many times guns have been used in self-defense since January 1 of the current year.
If you use a Macintosh and carry a gun or just value our Bill of Rights, you might want to download our Gun Self-Defense Counter widget. It is the widget form of the counter that appears at the top of this page, just below the menu.
Using data from authoritative studies on the use of guns, in self-defense, it counts how many times guns have been used in self-defense, since the beginning of this year.
The widget ticks over another number every 13 seconds. The back side of the widget has a scrollable window that details where the data for these calculations originated. Those of you who saw the earlier versions of this widget will notice that the front side of the new version 3.0 has been reduced in size.
This is to preserve Dashboard space for other widgets. But, the widget expands when flipped over, to make it easier to read the details. It also resets automatically on January 1 of each successive year.
Calculations used in this widget are based on the now famous study by renowned criminologists Gary Kleck & Marc Gertz that was reported in the The Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, Northwestern University School of Law, (Fall 1995) titled, "Armed Resistance to Crime: The Prevalence and Nature of Self-Defense With a Gun."
This is the most exhaustive and detailed study of how guns are used in self defense, to date. The study shows that guns are used in self-defense about 2.5 million times a year or once every 13 seconds, on average. In other words, guns are used about 60 times more often to protect innocent life than to take a life. Handguns are involved in over 1.9 million of those self-defense cases.
Enhancements
- This version makes the widget completely compatible with OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Defense Unit - Fast paced arcade game widget more>>

BoardRaceFS 1.1 is a strategy type of single player board game where you can take as long as you like for every single move. The basic idea of this game is that you try to move your car around a curvy race track to the finish line in as few moves as possible. You can accelerate on the straight parts, but it may be hard to make it around the next narrow turn.
Requirements:
- Mac OS X 10.3
- Earlier system versions not tested
SuperDaleks 1.91
SuperDaleks is considered as a popular and enjoyable game of strategy. more>>
SuperDaleks 1.91 is considered as a popular and enjoyable game of strategy. Each time you move on the board, the daleks move one square closer to you. If two or more daleks crash into each other, they are destroyed. When the daleks crash, they form a trash heap which can be used to eliminate more daleks. If you get stuck, you can teleport to a random location, but you may be teleported next to a dalek. You also get one "sonic screwdriver" per level, which removes the daleks in the squares adjacent to you. SuperDaleks has an autoplay ability which can be used to show you how to play the game.
Requirements: Mac OS X
Myth Updater 1.3
Myth 1.3 Updater adds more enhanced features than any other previous update ever released. It now supports a new plug-in feature, allowing users to take third party plug-ins to enhance the game more>> Myth 1.3 Updater adds more enhanced features than any other previous update ever released. It now supports a new plug-in feature, allowing users to take third party plug-ins to enhance the game. Upon entering the multiplayer options screen you will notice a new list called plugins on the far right side of the interface. Any .GOR files that have been placed into the plugins folder will appear here. If you select a plugin in your plugins folder it will appear in your list of maps. If you select the newly appearing map, you will be able to play on it with all of its options. However the REALLY COOL thing is that if you select a plug-in but select another map all of that plugins unit changes (assuming the author of said plug-in didnt create new monster tags) will affect the map that you use. If it doesnt then youll need to talk to the author of the plugin.
Now here are a few catches:
- You can only enter a game that is using a plugin if you have that same plugin installed.
- If you change plugins all people without that plugin will get booted. Please note that all players must have the same versions of a given plugin as well. If youd like to find plugins a good place to start your search would be www.bungie.net/community/
- Bungie will NOT be maintaining a list of plug-ins.
- The plugin module only supports those plugins that exist as a .GOR file. Previously existing plugins will have to be rebuilt as a .GOR file. This can be done by the author using one of the available 3rd party .GOR composers.
Body Count
The co-star of the 1.3 update is the much lauded Bodycount game. Bodycount (especially BC Trow) has been the subject a great deal of abuse. Bungie has made numerous tweaks and changes to resolve these problems. They are as follows . . .
- Redirection bugs (i.e. chain lightning, trowkicking, etc.) have been resolved. Fetches will only shoot to their extreme range and thats it.
- The death of your own units will count against you if you kill them. The same amount you would win from killing an opposing unit, you will lose if you kill your own unit. For the most part this only happens if YOU kill your own unit, but there is one exception (see below). In any case it is very possible for your score to go into the negatives so beware. This does mean that you must be more careful with wight usage in order to get maximum kill for the 3 point loss you will incur.
- Satchel charges, empty bottles, and pus packets are now tracked to some extent. Any unit that is blown up by a satchel charge will count as a unit loss for the player who lost the unit. This means that satchels can be used to reduce your opponents score. They are a sort of offensive defense. This was done mainly because it is much too difficult to track satchels and pus packets to the current owner. It also adds a new tactical element to the game.
PowerPC, System 7.5 or later, Myth 1.2 or later, Myth 1.2 games are not compatible with Myth 1.3 games, so encourage people to upgrade.

If you've played FSO before, you know what to expect. If you've never played an FSO game then try it for the first time by clicking the download link at the top of the page. You can play FSO3 for free for as long as you want. FSO3 is an action MMORPG. Although combat is fast-paced, this is still a very deep game with many new (and old) skills you can use to advance your character.
These skills include: Treasure hunting, crafting, repairing, enchanting, fishing, lumberjacking, mining, extracting, cave crawling, and 11 different types of combat skills. FSO3 also features great new innovations in the MMORPG genre: randomly generated adventures. No longer can you memorize a maze to get through it quickly.
The engine creates mazes on the fly with random monsters and treasures inside. Everyone's invited to go on these adventures....just wait for the invitation to be sent to you. If you prefer less daring methods of getting rich, find a treasure map and a shovel and go on a hunt. You never know what you might dig up.
