App Stop is a little status bar that resides in your menu bar that allows you to pause, and continue your applications.
When you pause an application is freezes it, keeping all the memory assoicated with the application intact but stopping the application from using any CPU cycles.
For older machines with limited CPU, but an abundance of memory this is very usefull because it allows you to free up that precious CPU time to help other applications run faster. App Stop features a table view mode that allows you to select mutiple application to pause/continue, set CPU priority, as well as force-quit them. App Stop will also automatically continue all your processes when App Stop terminates.
Enhancements:
- Rewrote the cpu usage code, its now much cleaner
- Force quitting background applications will remove them from the list immediatly
- iTunes-like live searching ability added
- App Stop is now a universal binary
- Updated to Xcode 2.2, compiling with the latest GCC release.

A reader asked for a version of the DisableDashboard widget which only kills the Dashboard without losing the ability to restart using F12.
So heres a StopDashboard widget, basically a modified version of the DisableDashboard widget.
All this widget does is kill the Dock process (which Dashboard is a part of). MacOSX will automatically restart the Dock but without Dashboard in memory.
Press F12 to start it up again.

DVD Stopper has only a small change to the loop movie applet that comes with DVD Player 3.1. Instead of looping the movie when it reaches the end, it stops the DVD Player. I made it cause I watch some DVDs and fall asleep while they play and then am awakened by some of the nightmarish loops that are used for menus.

TestXSLT 3.1 functions as a program to experiment with the XSLT and XSL-FO languages on Mac OS X. It uses the Sablotron, Gnome Libxslt, Saxon and Xalan-J XSLT processors, the FOP XSL-FO rendering engine, has lots of new features and a friendly user interface that makes playing around and learning XSLT fun.
Some features which were added recently like interactive well-formedness checking while you type or a tag completion feature also make it useful as a general-purpose XML editor.
Enhancements:

- Fixed the most common cause for a crash when quitting the application or closing a document window. The crash still occurs very rarely though.
- XSL-FO processing works again after it was broken by the Java 1.4.2 update.
- Theres now a preferences dialog, currently with the following options. - 1.) It allows to disable the syntax analysis which can take a long time with large documents. Note that disabling it also disables automatic closing tag insertion. - 2.) It allows to disable the wellformedness check. Disabling this stops the little warning icon from appearing. - 3.) It allows to edit the default text snippets that are inserted into the XML and XSLT text areas of new documents.
- Because of the way the preferences dialog is implemented (Cocoa Bindings), the program now requires Mac OS X 10.3.
- The wellformedness check error message (if any) is now visible in the error message drawer, and not only in the tooltip of the little warning icon. You open the drawer by clicking onto the warning icon.
- Updated the Xalan-J processor to 2.6.
- Updated the Saxon processor to 8.3, which means you can now experiment with XSLT 2.0 and XQuery.

All Mac users who occasionally mount and use NFS or SMB shares know the problem with these invisible .DS_Store files. The Finder will clutter all network shares with these unnecessary and useless dotfiles. The same goes for CDs, Memory Sticks, Firewire Harddrives that are shared with Windows or Linux users.
HastalaDS_Store is an application that injects code into the Finder that stops the Finder creating .DS_Store files. When the Finder is restarted, it gains normal functionality again. Therefore I recommend putting Hastala_DS_Store in the Login Items, so it is started every time you log in.

TomcatX is a simple GUI front-end for the Apache projects Jakarta Tomcat servlet engine. It is written using Cocoa/Objective-C and simply allows the user to select the home directory of the Tomcat distribution to be used and then starts and stops tomcat using the standard startup.sh and shutdown.sh scripts.

Gnugs has been tested as a prototype and got very high ratings from users, even though the prototype had very simple graphics and only a few levels. This full game now features supercute comic-style graphics and 100 levels to solve! Ten different places, each with different graphics and music, are packed with lots of cute Gnugs to save.
