Splity is a Perl script to split a long HTML file into separate inter-linked pages, according to the headings in the original file. Splity is useful for maintaining both a browsable version of a site and a print version.
For example, a file that starts with an < h1 > tag and some text, and contains 3 sub-sections that start with an < h3 > each, can be split into four interlinked files, as shown.
Main features:
- Multi-level hierarchy of sections;
- User-defined cut-off heading level;
- Supports both named sub-sections and unnamed sub-sections;
- Configurable output format, using page templates.
System requirements:
- Text:Template installed

PteroSplit 0.1
PteroSplit - file split and recover application more>>
After having searched the web I realized that there wasnt an application suitable for my needs: some applications were not free, some did not work on both (Windows and Mac OSx) platforms and most of them did not provide a simple way to recover the original file from the created fragments.
In fact, the problem of recovering the fragments is not difficult to solve if someone is used to DOS and unix shell, but I wanted something that could be used easily from everybody.

RBSplitView 1.2

RBSplitView 1.2 is created to bring users a good choice about a complete recode of a split view for Cocoa. Programmatic collapse/expand, minimum/maximum limits on subviews, two-way thumbs for nested split views, many other goodies. Interface Builder Palette. Creative Commons and MIT licenses.
Enhancements:
- As usual, small bug and documentation fixes.
- For now, there are two main build groups: (Leo) for 10.5 (Leopard) and (Sno) for 10.6 (Snow Leopard). This may change in the next release.
- As usual, small bug and documentation fixes.
- Support for 64 bits and Garbage Collection.
- New plugin for Leopard's Interface Builder 3.x. RBSplitView 1.2 is for Leopard and up, it must be build with Xcode 3.1 or better. Code may not be backwards-compatible; you'll probably want to use the previous version (1.1.4) for Tiger.
- Dragging a textured window by the background when having nested subviews, not all opaque, now works properly.
- Calling setAutoresizesSubviews: on a RBSplitView or RBSplitSubview now does nothing, to avoid messing up the algorithms.

Split & Concat 2.5
Split & Concat - Splits large files for upload more>>
For that reason you can find often binary files that are split in parts like filename.mp3.001, filename.mp3.002, filename.mp3.003 etcetera. It is possible to put these parts together using commands in the Terminal yet not everybody is handy with that.
That is why I decided to create a small utility with the OS X interface that makes it easy for people to split large files to be uploaded, or to put together split files downloaded from the Internet.Of course, you can also use this program to split or recombine files that are too large e.g. to be put on one CD.
Enhancements:
- Now released as a Universal Binary for PPC and Intel Mac.
- Thanks to Gerard Putter of the MacPAR DeLuxe project for providing the par binaries and his assistance.
- Par2 is now considerably (40 %) faster on dual (core) processors.
