MacOS Spin Throbber 1.0 is popular among many users as a high-quality and innovative toolbar throbber replacement for all major web browsers! Throbbers are the moving icons that your browser uses to show that it is working. Terrific Triangles 1.5.2
Terrific Triangles - basic math facts practice using fact families more>>
In all cases the triangle presents two parts of a fact family and the player must determine the missing third part. The sum and product always appear at the top of the triangle. The addends and factors always go in the two lower corners.
Student mode allows individual facts practice with a running score for correct answers. The player may select difficulty and whether to play against a timer.
Teacher mode allows for group play.
Students are presented with a problem and the timer spins one revolution. Then a student name appears and the timer spins again. The student whos name is shown tries to call out the answer before the timer finishes. We like this system of showing the student name after the first spin because, if the time is set short enough, students are encouraged to pay attention even before knowing whether they will need to answer. If they wait until they see their name (or a neighbor tells them to look!) it may be too late to calculate.
Press the "Return" or "Enter" key for a new problem to display. The empty corner will be random. If you wish to select which corner will be blank, click that corner with the mouse instead of using the keyboard. Student mode may be used right away. Generally teacher mode requires that names be entered first. The names and settings will remain saved between uses.
Enhancements:
- Added support for Intel processors
- General speed increase
- Fixed problem where timer might freeze during extended use
- User-selected ranges of multiplication facts are now followed accurately
- Minor cosmetic changes
MIDI Companion 2.0
MIDI Companion is a highly-efficient, high-quality remote interface to the best keyboards in existence, the Kurzweil K2500/K2600/K2661. more>>
MIDI Companion 2.0 is a highly-efficient, high-quality remote interface to the best keyboards in existence, the Kurzweil K2500/K2600/K2661.
This is the Mac OS X version, there will be no further updates to the Mac OS 9 version. The Companion allows you to control your Kurzweil from your Macintosh. This saves wear and tear on the Kurzweil buttons and it allows you to work more efficiently. Take the simplest task on your Kurzweil. You've just created a new program, or layed down the first track in a sequence.
The Kurzweil wants a name for this new object, and you sit there for 5 minutes spinning the data wheel or pecking at the keypad to enter "Rad Piano" or "Techno Song". Forget it! Now just reach over to your Mac keyboard and type on a normal keyboard! And that's just the start. The Companion allows you to see your Kurzweil screen remotely, allows you to enter numeric data for things like frequencies, select programs from a complete, searchable list instead of 8 crowded lines, export the list of objects in your machine, and more.
Requirements:
- Mac OS X 10.3 or later, and a two-way MIDI connection between your Mac and your Kurzweil.

OS HaloTimer 1.5
OS HaloTimer is truly a marvellous game for you to enjoy. more>>
OS HaloTimer 1.5 is truly a marvellous game for you to enjoy.
Major Features:
- Rewind and Advance! Now if the timer was started at a slightly off the user can adjust the time by 2 second intervals or 5 second intervals
- Clear Inactive Clocks. Once the game is ended the user can clear all previous clock data
- Keyboard shortcuts. Enter starts and stops game; C clears inactive clocks; '=' advances clock by 2 seconds; '-' decreases clock by 2 seconds; '.' advances clock by 5 seconds; ',' decreases clock by 5 seconds.
- All maps now supported! All that was missing before was Boarding Action and Chiron, but they are in now.
- Support for the different spawns in CTF game types
- Speaks item names when they have spawned
- Speaks warning 10 seconds before an item is about to spawn
- Large font size and text highlighting during a warning and a spawn
- Item blast: blasts the image of the said item being spawned across the screen
- Ability to accurately switch to a different map while the timer is running
Enhancements:
- Features
-
- All items supported! This is a big one. There is now a menu item labeled 'Item Reports' which allows you to choose which items you would like the timer to inform you about spawning with realtime updating (i.e. add an item while the timer is running).
- Analog Timers. Now in addition to the digital countdown timers there is a analog based count down timer that takes pie shaped chunks out a circle every second. These can be toggled on or off.
- HaloDock. Instead of having text which tells you which items are associated with a time, items are now displayed in dock like fashion with picture icons. When these items are within 10 seconds of spawning in the game they will begin to bounce much like an application bouncing in your dock.
- Item blast revamped. Item blast no longer will display across your entire window interfering with your control and viewing. Instead it is now located in the top right corner. Additionally the speed of how fast an item is blasted can be modified (Fast Medium and Slow) or it can be disabled all together.
- Warning and Spawn glow. A recessed cell contains the analog and digital countdown timers, when a countdown reaches 10 seconds the background of this cell glows purple; when the countdown reaches 0 it glows blue.
- Mini view. For those of you who will either not be able to see your screen, just don't glance at it, or prefer to have smaller interface this view is for you. Mini view takes up a fraction of your screen in comparison to the main view. It features all timer controls, a digital elapsed game time which has the warning and spawn glow when anything is within 10 seconds of spawning or is spawning, and analog countdown timers. There is an option drawer which will come out by pressing the arrow on the top right. In this drawer you will find mini Halodocks (though these do not bounce, but instead has a spinning wheel next to it) so you can see what items are associated with which time. This drawer can also be sized to your liking. As usual you will still be able to hear the timer speak to you. You can swap between these two views at any time.
- User Defaults. The timer will remember what items you selected for item reports, whether analog timers are enabled and the item blast speed/off state from the last time you ran the program.
- Rewind and Advance! Now if the timer was started at a slightly off the user can adjust the time by 2 second intervals or 5 second intervals.
- Clear Inactive Clocks. Once the game is ended the user can clear all previous clock data
- Keyboard shortcuts. Enter starts and stops game; C clears inactive clocks; '=' advances clock by 2 seconds; '' decreases clock by 2 seconds; '.' advances clock by 5 seconds; ',' decreases clock by 5 seconds.
- All maps now supported!
- Fixes
-
- In version 1.0 when advancing or rewinding the voice would speak if you happened to hit a spawn timer mark or warning mark. It would also continue to speak its list of items even if you hit Game Over. this has been fixed now, and will not speak when you advance, rewind, or end the timer.
- In previous versions the timer would stop counting time when a menu bar or map selection box was clicked on. This has been fixed. While you will not see see the timer update with one of these pressed, when you click off it will display the correct time.
