Pure Vinyl 3.0pr1 brings a professional and complete suite of audio applications designed specifically for the high quality digital transcription and playback of vinyl LP records.
Pure Vinyl is intended for professional or technically-oriented audio enthusiasts, who own high-end equipment, and who want to create, edit and play back the highest possible quality vinyl transcriptions; with a minimum of fuss and a maximum of fun.
Pure Vinyl uniquely combines a fun and intuitive "scratch" style grab-and-spin editor with realistic, "virtual vinyl" platter images, rendered from the digitized audio. Automatic gain riding and looping insures accurate track location, even in the presence of vinyl background noise.
A high quality resampling feature simultaneously saves CD format audio while monitoring and recording raw or equalized audio at sample rates up to 192 kHz. Editing operations are nondestructive, and precision, 64-bit real-time inverse RIAA equalization is included. The download functions as a demo until an activation code purchased. A free, built-in visualizer feature fetches tracks from iTunes playlists and creates an entertaining animation of spinning, "45 RPM" vinyl discs.

ProMimport 4.0
ProMimport - extract process enactment event logs from a set of information systems more>>
What the heck is going on inside your organization? Does your information system support your processes the way you intended it to? Or is it driving your workforce crazy? Do you get the quality, performance and throughput that were promised to you by your vendor? Do you need to have a serious word with your process designer?
Process Mining techniques give you a powerful tool to assess the quality and performance of your business process. They can given you insight into tacit knowledge and hidden practices. And they can assist you in pinpointing that points within your process or organization, where things just go plain wrong.
MXML is an extensible, XML-based format for storing process event logs. It is the format supported by process mining analysis tools, such as ProM.
Converting your logs to, and storing them in, the MXML format makes them accessible for in-depth analysis with some of todays most advanced business process intelligence tools.
The ProM Import Framework has been designed from the ground up to make converting event log data to MXML a snap. Its convenient interface and powerful capabilities make it usable for even novice and non-technical audiences. At the same time, it is designed as a developer-friendly framework.
Most functionality you may need for stitching together an import filter for your own excentric system is provided out of the box. Forget user interface design, persistency of data and configuration options, and dependency resolution - its all there, tried, tested, and ready for your spin.
Both as a user and developer you will find, that the ProM Import Framework actively supports you in what you have in mind: Get the job done. No fuzz and rebuilding thanks to an advanced plug-in concept. And MXML persistency in all supported storage variants.
The back-end, which the ProM Import Framework uses for working with and persistently storing MXML event log data, has recently been made available as the MXMLib library. Make your process-aware information system capable to export its audit trails in MXML in a matter of hours!
Both the ProM Import Framework and the MXMLib library are published under the revised BSD license. We welcome additions to our code base, most invited are submissions of further plug-ins, for whatever system they may support. Join the ranks of our log-reverse-engineering squad, and write an import filter plug-in for your system of choice!
SleeplessHD 0.1
SleeplessHD is considered as a smart and useful spotlight plugin and utility. more>>
SleeplessHD 0.1 is considered as a smart and useful spotlight plugin and utility. You can buy external harddisks with an auto spin down mechanism which is a very useful feature. These harddisks go to sleep after a few seconds of being idle and wake up if there is a file request.
In the usual day-to-day work this is exactly what you want because it keeps the harddisk cool and saves power. But you may run into trouble if you want to stream something from such a harddisk. Problems occur when you use iTunes to listen to music which is streaming from such a harddisk.
After a few seconds of listening to a song you get a break because the harddisk has to wake up to deliver the next bits and bytes to iTunes. And this goes on and on every time iTunes requests new data because its buffer is empty. There may be better solutions than writing new software for this kind of problem.
You probably may use a cron job, a different music player, buy a new harddisk or...SleeplessHD is one solution for this kind of problem. Try it! It is free and has this fancy smoking Dock icon animation which is made with Particle Beamer a not yet released inhouse application!
Enhancements: Initial release
Requirements: Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later.
