Widget Television offers over 200 channels of broadband streaming video available on this newest version. It has easier channel selection with selected channel layering, faster stream grabs for all channels, 9 different classes of channels, improved programming and global channel selection. It offers channel catagories such as Music, News, Government, Public Access, Educational, Movies, Religion, General, and Sports.

Please note that you must have the required video players installed before you install the Widget Television to avoid issues with the streams.

Currently there are 54 DV channels available through VF1 online and new channels being added as they become available. Its like having a small screen television right on your desktop. The VF1 is a widget that at its current version, allows you to change channels and turn the VF1 to its Off state. To turn it to its On state, simple open the side menu panel, scroll to locate a selection, click the channel, then sit back and watch. This new version includes full screen on all RealPlayer channels only. To activate the Widget Television in FullScreen mode, simply choose one of the RealPlayer channels from the channel list, and after the station completely loads click on the television screen to activate it. Future updates will include FullScreen mode for the other two video players as well. The channel list now includes icon links to the left of the channel name and will link to the channels website where (most of the websites have this option) a program schedule is available. The VF1 uses all three major streaming video players; QuickTime, RealPlayer, and Media Player.

Skobos Personal Television 1.1.2 is a flexible, efficient, and easy to use editor tool. The DEMO for Skobos is limited only by the amount of available channels. The television programming design of Skobos, was written in its entirety in Applescript using Apple's Xcode environment, Applescript Studio. The program's (currently 175 channels) viewing capabilities relies on the user's installation of the top three (free) video players, available over the Internet. The channels are encoded using one of several technologies and then are broadcast over the Internet using specific video codecs. Skobos is designed completely with the end-user in mind. From the ease of channel selection, volume control, and full-screen viewing, to the ability to set window coloring, favorites, channel voting, and instant messaging, Skobos will fast become a program favorite for any user.
