Slider is a fun puzzle game where the player tries to clear combinations of colored pearls from the board to earn points. Along the way special pearls give the game a strategic aspect.

The goal of Slider is to combine 3 or more Pearls of the same color in a row or a column of the game board. The combined pearls will then be removed from the board. The pearls above the removed items will fall into the open spaces and new random pearls will fill up the board from the top. The player can make one move per turn, and the move must result in the removal of game pieces from the board. If the move does not result in the removal of pearls, the move will be automatically reversed (moves involving special pearls are an exception to this rule - see below).

To perform a move, the player uses the directional buttons around the game board. The player may move a row one place to the left or the right, and a column one spot up or down. The pearls in a row or column will then all shift one place in the direction of the button pressed. The first pearl in the direction of the move will "wrap around" to the other side of the row or column. For example, when shifting a row to the right, the right-most pearl will disappear and reappear on the left side of the row. Therefore, the "wrapped" pearl may create a combination on the side it reappears.

The player recieves points for the number of game pieces removed from the board. The more pearls are removed from the board with one turn the more points will be given per pearl (for example removing 7 pearls or more at once will yield twice the points per pearl than removing just 3). Additionally, the pearls randomly replacing the removed pearls may also form combinations and will also be removed from the board, thus creating a cascading effect. Cascades will also create additional bonus points.

Scan Lines introduces artificial scan lines into your clip, making it appear like early-day computer graphics and arcade machines. This plug lets you define the scan lines thickness, opacity and separation. And since we are at it, we also let you define the scan lines color.
Use Scan Lines whenever you want to introduce some stylish, but otherwise not very useful scan line effects or other regular horizontal lines into your clip.
Main features:
- area of effect: define the area of the clip you want to be affected by the plug-in. all other parts or the clip remain untouched.
- line color: this specifies the color that the scan lines are drawn in.
- separation: this tells the plug how far apart the scan lines should be generated.
- thickness: this defines the thickness of the scan lines
- opacity: this slider controls how transparent the scan lines are.

Listen! is a tool designed for those of you who listening to certain sounds brings back memories or brings you particular pleasure? For some, that might be a dinner bell, a train whistle or the call of the loon in the wild.

That is called an audible anchor. Listen! helps you repeat that experience any time you wish. Listen! can also be used as a friendly timer to let you know your study time, nap time, exercise time, etc., is up.

When you launch Listen? you see a small, simple Control Window with two pushbuttons. Click on the "Setup" button to bring up the Setup Window.

The Setup Window provides a choice of three modes plus sliders to set the time between sounds (ten seconds to sixty minutes).

When you first launch Listen! a folder titled "ListenSounds" is placed in the Users/~/Documents folder. (On Windows XP, this folder is created in the My Documents folder.) Wav sound files with a ".wav" prefix placed in that folder are used by this application.

When you next launch Listen! these sound files will be recognized and used.

DoubleSlider is a MacOSX-only REALbasic 4.0-and-higher plugin and the HiSlider, DoubleSlider and TripleSlider controls can live on composited and non-composited windows. The plugin implements slider bars with one, two and three thumbs and can be customized by setting flags in design time or in runtime. The sliders are in it self customized OSX-controls using the HIToolbox API that was introduced with Jaguar. Users of this plugin should be aware that Jaguar (OSX 10.2.x) is the minimum requirement.
DoubleSliders implementation is solely based on the HIToolbox/Appearance Manager and uses the latest FrameWork Header Files that comes with the MacOS. It does not depend on the MetroWerks files. For this to work with CodeWarrior, a utility REALbasic project was used that copies and flattens not only the FrameWork files, but also the underlying mach files that are stored in invisible folders. Thus MSL-like and Universal Headers are recreated and used to prepare a precompiled header file, using the latest files and information that comes with the OSX.
There is one issue with REALbasic 4.x and 5.0. The sliders when moved in a window after a resize clean up after them self when RB already has drawn other controls in the window. The effect is that where once a slider lived a background of the window is drawn. The plugin comes up with a user workaround for RB4. This issue does not hold for REALbasic 5.1, thanks to a new plugin SDK that RS released with REALbasic 5.1.
Enhancements:
- Fixed a bug that occurs with RB 4.x: the ValueChanged events fired when the control was disabled, due to the fact that the slider thumbs could be moved.

pbsw-WindowSaver is a REALbasic module with extensions to the Window class for saving/restoring the state of all its controls.

ToneTester is a Macintosh application that tests hearing.
Specifically, it looks for offsets in how each of a persons ears hears pitch (the formal term for this is "binaural diplacusis" or "interaural pitch difference").
To use it, you adjust a slider until your ears hear the same pitch, and then ToneTester tells you the actual pitch difference.
