Game Music Box plays video game music files.

It works with Mac OS X and Mac OS 9. Still fairly new; please report any problems.

It supports playlists, RAR, ZIP, and GZIP compression, batch recording to sound files, and uses an efficient band-limited engine for good sound quality and low processor load.

Space Giko Harriya-n is based on a classic arcade game by Sega called, Space Harrier. Its a 3D shooter where you play a cute, flying cat that has to blast away the oncoming enemies and obstacles to smithereens.

Once you launch the game, press apple + F for full screen, press space bar to start or pause, apple key is your weapon trigger, and arrow keys to navigate.

Completly freeware.

SMS Plus is a Sega Master System/Game Gear emulator for Mac OS X.
The hardware for the Sega Master System and Game Gear consoles is almost identical from a technical standpoint, a feature that helped develop the software library for both platforms.
All classic titles can be emulated without problems in SMS Plus, including several which give inferior emulators trouble.
Main features:
- Accurate emulation of both SMS and Game Gear hardware.
- Support for the YM2413 FM chip found in the Japanese model SMS.
- Support for the CodeMasters memory mapper chip.

Cave Story, or Doukutsu Monogatari, is a Japanese freeware PC side-scrolling platformer game developed by StudioPixel. It has been translated into English by Aeon Genesis Translations and will have an official translation script published sometime in the near future.

Cave Story is really one of those games that can be considered a masterpiece of game design. There are so many wonderful and classic gaming elements, that I cannot even begin to describe just one quality well enough to say “It is for this one reason alone that Cave Story is a great game.” There is just so much effort, originality and ingenuity behind this game and it really shows more and more as you play through it.

The developer, Pixel spent five years making this game as fun and as great as it is by adding solid controls, smooth gameplay, a great cast of characters and dialogue, an interesting plot, good music and beautiful old-school 2-D artwork.

And on top of all this added multiple endings, several boss battles, tons of items to collect, all kinds of added secret bonuses and special challenges, various and considerably different methods of playing through the game depending on your actions, competition ranking features and an extremely high replay value. For a freeware game it is fairly lengthy too.

Cave Story is by far the best freeware game I have ever had the honor of playing through and certainly one of the best games I’ve played.

The gameplay plays like a combination of various NES/Famicom games. Some that come to mind are Metroid, Castlevania, Megaman, Blaster Master and Monster Mash. Pixel’s art style and character design and boss battles are very reminiscent of Treasure games, like Gunstar Heroes, which happens to be one of my personal favorite games of all time.

So if you are a fan of any of these titles, then you are in for a real treat. It was a wonderful and addicting experience playing through it and I hope anyone reading this who has not already played this game will give it a shot.
You surely won’t be disappointed. It reminded me of why I enjoy playing videogames.

Mac Dream Tool lets you create CDs that will play in an appropriate SEGA DreamCast. You can create CDs that have one or more of your favorite emulators to play on your DreamCast game system.
This App does not help you burn actual DreamCast games in any way!
Inducer - Enables you to put multiple emulators,demos & apps and roms on a single DreamCast disc.This requires that the emulators (or apps,or demos) be special files with ".sbi" extension. Get these files @ www.sbiffy.com.
SBI-2-Selfboot - Takes a .sbi emulator/app file(normally used for inducing) with roms and lets you make it into a single selfbooting DreamCast disc.
SelfBooter - uses emus/apps/demos that come in plain files and lets you burn them onto a disc with any roms or extra files.
This tool Combines Dream Inducing, Self-Booting and adds the infamous SBI-2-Selfboot program.

Modeler is a Sega Arcade Emulator for Mac OS X.
The current version supports the three Sega arcade boards based on the NEC V60 CPU - Sega System 32, Sega System 32 Multi, and Sega Model 1.
While the Model 1 games are currently not playable, due to the lack of 3D graphics emulation, the System 32 games work quite well.
Titles such as Golden Axe 2 and Spiderman are fully playable, provided you have a fast enough Mac.
