Messages to Disk is an Entourage script which offers fast save of messages to disk as text files.
The script offers choice of kind of text file.
Enhancements:
- Always prompts for location of folder for storing messages.
- Allows choice of text file types: BBEdit, Tex-Edit Plus, Simple Text. You can add other program names and creator codes to the lists where "creatorNames" and "creatorTypes" are defined.
- Gives progress report after storing each message, with option to turn off. Beeps twice when all files have been stored.
- Fixed bugs in routine for making file name when first choice is already in use. Would fail if name was exactly 31 characters; got stuck in repeat sometimes trying to find valid name.
- Added code to re-wrap (remove hard line endings from) the message text. If you dont want to do this, change the property "rewrapping" to false. This allows your text editor to soft wrap the text to your window size.
- Rather than including entire source with miscellaneous headers, I select the recipients, from address, subject, sent date, and the body of the message. This makes for a "cleaner" text file with less extraneous stuff at the top.

Since the desktop space is common to all of your disks, it can sometimes get confusing as to which items are on which volumes.

Select Disk Desktop Items prompts the user to select a particular disk, and then selects all of the items on the desktop which belong to that disk.

After the script has run, the user can label these items a particular colour, move them off of the desktop, etc.

Reorder Disk Icons is a useful AppleScript applet that changes the order of the disk icons like it was before Finder v8.5.

The pre-OS 8.5 Finder uses the mounted disk order.
Finder v8.5 or higher places the disk icons according to the disks free space, with the startup disk first. To place your disk icons as the previous Finder did it, just copy the applet into the "Startup Items" folder.

Change Disk Name to Song Name is a small AppleScript that changes the file name of an MP3 file to the iTunes song name in the iTunes catalog so that they remain consistent (you only have to do the edit maintenance in one place).

The script changes the disk file name(s) to "song-name".mp3. A one line change in the script changes the name to "artist - song.name".mp3 and/or drops the extension.

The script handles duplicate names and missing disk files. Place this in your /users/name/Library/iTunes/Scripts folder which is where you install the script set Apple provides on their site.

Apple Disk Copy Scripts 6.3 is a simple and effective shell and desktop program for Mac. AppleScripts that extend the functionality of Disk Copy, version 6.3 or greater. They are provided as examples of how to use AppleScript to control Disk Copy, and gain access to features not present in the user interface. Create self-mounting image will prompt the user to select a disk image, verify it, then let the user save it as a self-mounting image.

AppleScripts can be executed directly from Disk Copy by placing them in a folder named "Scripts" in the same folder as Disk Copy. When a Scripts folder containing AppleScripts is present, a new menu will appear in Disk Copy named "Scripts". AppleScripts selected from this menu will have their "on run" handler executed.

Make Disk Image is a droplet that creates a Mac OS X disk image (dmg) of any file or folder dropped onto it. For unknown reasons, the Finder doesnt give any way to do this, and using Disk Utility to do it is cumbersome.

You can use this droplet in one of three ways.
• Double-click the droplet. It will ask you to choose a file to archive.
• Drop a file or folder onto the droplet.
• Put the droplet into the Files folder of Big Cat (free) and you can use it from the Finder contextual menu.
