AJL Scripts is a package that contains a series of scripts written for use with QuarkXPress in a page production environment.

They are meant to enable more efficient product placement and spacing, by automating guide placement around generic boxes. There are a few other random scripts I made as well, for setting the view range, trimming returns out of text boxes, toggling box runaround, and various little things like that...

Mail Scripts 2.9.1 comes as a combination of AppleScript Studio applications for Mail and Address Book offering additional features or simplified workflow. Mail Scripts are fully localized in English, German, Dutch, French, Italian, Greek, Brazilian Portuguese, and Norwegian. Mail Scripts consists of the following scripts:

1. Add Addresses (Mail): Add addresses found in the selected messages (in the header fields "From", "To", "Cc", and "Bcc") to the Address Book. This is much more flexible than the "Add Sender to Address Book" available in Mail and provides a convenient way for creating mailing lists.
2. Archive Messages (Mail): Move messages from the selected mailbox(es) to an archive mailbox or export them to standard mbox or plain text files for backup purposes or import into other applications. You can select to move all messages or only messages sent within or certain period as well filter messages based on their read and flagged status.
3. Change SMTP Server (Mail): Switch between different already defined SMTP servers or define a new one. This is especially useful if you are using your computer in more than one location and have to switch servers for several accounts at once.
4. Create Rule (Mail): Create a new rule based on the first of the selected messages. This saves you the trouble of copy/pasting address or other info between the message and the rule window and provides a much quicker way for setting up a rule with multiple criteria/actions.
5. Remove Duplicates (Mail): Locate all duplicate messages found in the selected mailbox(es) and move them to a separate mailbox for easy removal (duplicate matching is based on the unique message header "Message-Id").
6. Schedule Delivery (Mail): Allows you to send individual messages at predefined times (this script uses iCal for scheduling message delivery).
7. Send all Drafts (Mail): Immediately send all messages in the "Drafts" folders for all accounts. This saves you from having to open each draft in order to send it.
8. Open Mailbox, Open Message (Mail): Two small faceless scripts which will open mailboxes with new messages or the new messages themselves when run as a rule action.
9. Filter Sent Messages (Mail): Another faceless scripts which will apply your rules to the messages in the "Sent" mailbox.
10. Export Addresses (Address Book): Export addresses from the Address Book into tab-delimited text files. You can select which groups and which fields you want to export.
11. Search Addresses (Address Book): Find all addresses inside the Address Book matching one or more criteria. As opposed to the "Search" function built into the Address Book, this lets you search in any field as well as for empty and non-empty fields. As an example, you might use this script to search for all phone numbers with a certain area code in order to update your contacts after an area code change.

This set of 4 iPhoto scripts, from Apple Computer, includes Mail iPhoto Images, Show Image File, Make Audio Card and Make Audio Slideshow.

Mail iPhoto Images — Drag images from the iPhoto window onto this droplet to automatically embed the images into a new message in the Mac OS X Mail application. Double-click the droplet to set preferences for:
* resizing the images before sending
* adding a default email recipient
* adding a default email subject

Show Image File — Drag an image from the iPhoto window onto this droplet to reveal its source file in the Finder.

Make Audio Card — Combine the power of AppleScript, iPhoto, iTunes, and QuickTime to create interesting audio cards! Select a track in iTunes, then drag a single image from the iPhoto window onto this droplet. The two elements, the MP3 audio file and iPhoto image, will be combined in the QuickTime Player to produce a movie! Double-click the droplet to set preferences for the card width.

Make Audio Slideshow — Combine the power of AppleScript, iPhoto, iTunes, and QuickTime to create slideshows with background audio! Select a track in iTunes, then drag images from the iPhoto window onto this droplet. The two elements, the MP3 audio file and iPhoto image, will be combined in the QuickTime Player to produce a movie! Double-click the droplet to set preferences for the slidwshow width.

Free EPS Scripts are a set of two droplets that list the colors or fonts contained in an EPS file. Just drop an EPS file on either Droplet and watch it do its thing.

Get EPS Fonts will give you a dialog box with the list of Post Script Fonts displayed.

Get EPS Colors displays the colors used in an EPS File. Whats nice about both of these utilities is that you never have to open the files with their native application.

Sound Set Scripts are a pair of AppleScripts that choose a new Sound Set on startup and turn Sound Sets off.

To install Place one in the Startup Items folder and another on your desktop.

Subversion Scripts is a collection of AppleScripts for Finder created in order to make the most frequent operations on Subversion repositories easier. Now you dont have to switch from Finder to another application (either Terminal or some heavy-weight GUI client) to handle common repository tasks.

TeX-Scripts-BBEdit 2.0 brings you a comprehensive suite of shell and applescripts which let TeX typesetting and the use of various TeX tools like makeindex, metapost, bibtex, and tex4ht without any front end. For example, it is possible to produce a html output from a source file by a simple click. TeX errors can be located even in the case of multiple input files.

Four small applications, droplets, are also included, named pdfselect, flip folder, dvipdf and ps2pdf. The first allows to extract pages from an arbitary pdf file saving the result in one or several pdf files depending on your wishes. The second is based on the binary flip by Craig Stuart Sapp and changes the line endings of the tex files in a given folder according to your specifications. The formats unix, dos, and mac are possible. The other two rely on the equally named shell scripts. You will have the choice to name the output pdf files.
