Scisoft is a project within the European Southern Observatory to provide a uniform collection of astronomical software packages (eg, Pyraf, IRAF, STSDAS, ESO-MIDAS). Scisoft for Mac OS X is modeled after the ESO Scisoft project but is not an official Scisoft release and is neither associated with ESO, STScI, nor NOAO.
This version requires OSX 10.4 running on an Mac Intel comuter (Mac Book, Mac Book Pro, Mac Pro)
Enhancements:
This version is similar to 2006.4.1 but its content was compiled specifically for Intel macs. It therefore does not use Rosetta and is much faster on Intel Macs. It contains a large portion of Scisoft OSX 2006.4.1

Rudix is a complete collection of pre-compiled and ready to use Unix compatible software (packages) which are not available from a standard installation of Mac OS X (or Darwin) and is very popular among other Unixes environments like GNU/Linux and FreeBSD.

Frink tracks units of measure (feet, meters, kilograms, watts, etc.) through all calculations, helping you make physical calculations easily, to mix units of measure transparently, and ensures that the answers come out right.
